Yes it should be able to lay, but for us we have also noted that when confine (keep them in door) they tend to take very long to lay and even lay few eggs. So it is always good to allow turkey esp those of laying age out of thier house to move around,eat on grass, get natural sunlight, this helps them lay faster and a good number of eggs

We usually put mother Turkey with its chicks in the brooder together such that it can continue warming them up especially at night.
