2. As a fan of Sonic Youth, I completely agree with the concept of not liking everything (Tom Violence and about half of NYC Ghosts and Flowers come to mind).
+coughcoughcough74 exactly! SY is the perfect example
But, using the Sonic Youth example, every song is sincere. It is the song they wanted to create. And while I think Tom Violence is sluggish and bland, to them (I would assume) it is a good/great song.

Welcome back, but I will say that most of the complaining of that sort seems to come from teenagers. Once your a bit older, I feel like most of that goes away. I also feel like this generation has by in large has been better about being open to different genres and the blending of such things.
