Nice video and good game but a checkmate could've happened if the rook did not move 1 square down as the last move. At 1:10:16 in the video, it shows the blue king in the bottom left corner square and he is not attacking the rook so it would be fine to move the red king 1 square to the right horizontally and he is now on a light colored square and is no longer protecting the rook but after the blue king has to move 1 square up vertically and is attacking the rook again, the rook can be saved by moving the red king 1 square down but diagonally to the left so he is protecting the rook again so the blue king cannot take the rook and then the blue king is forced to move back at the bottom left corner square. At this point, a checkmate can happen for red by moving the rook 1 square to the left.
GAH!! had you moved your rook to C3 instead of your king. Blue would have been forced to move back to A1. You then follow up with a rook to A3. Checkmate.
Does anyone know if there was ever a version of this game that included the duck? I swear I remember asking my dad why the queen had a duck, but it could just be a false memory. (I was playing on a Mac circa 1995).
Funitarium I think the one you're talking about is one game made by Oxford Softworks who was making many "acting" chess game as a direct competitor of MicroProse/Spectrum Holobyte & Interplay chess games series.

The bishop throws it behind himself, then provides flowers for the queen, who takes it without knowing of a poisonous scent coming from the flowers which kills her. The pulling out a gun and shooting them is when the king takes the bishop.

Si tu n'as pas à l'aise avec les commandes textuelles, il y a aussi des frontends qui peuvent faire ce travail à ta place... Mais bon, si tu es à l'aise avec les commandes MS-DOS comme dans le bon vieux temps, c'est beaucoup vite y aller par commande que par frontend! :^)

At 12:00 you would've had Checkmate if you used your queen to take the opposing queen. You would've ended right next to the king and he couldn't make any move to save himself.
+Anomaly188 If the red queen takes the blue queen, it's not checkmate because there is no other piece like a red bishop or a red knight protecting her, so the blue king can take the queen.
+racionais74 Yeah, i know. Instead of the red rook moving when it did, the red king needed to move 2 more times before the red rook can checkmate the blue king.
