I get a kick out of the guy standing behind the woman in the first clip because it looks like he's auditioning for a 1950s bad boy part.
He looks like he’s going to mug her in the parking lot 😮
Denim from head to toe
I knew id find the comments lol, yes sometimes I think its 80s footage
The hair on the appraiser….in the clip with the green chest
I liked the red upholstered chair but the green chest is atrocious
Anyone else lose their shit over the rococo box? That frickin key was the size of a baby.
9:16 - that Neptune dial Rolex is one of only 3 in existence, and is now worth over $600,000.
In 2024? Only 15K pounds back from the appraisal to 600K dollars?? 😮
That key made the whole show for me!
Yeah fr sure me to tht was the biggest key I have ever seen
The guy in the blue jean tuxedo in the first clip is hilarious! 😂😂
I remember well the clothes show awards, as Jeff Banks read out…
And the award for “most denim in a popular tv show or series”, goes to?….
-Envelope opening-
The Antiques Roadshow, and their showing of sour faced man behind David Battie, in a double denim ensemble.
That's hilarious. Especially for someone who misspent their 'youth' in double demin! 🤣@@FranssensM
I think I might have dated him in the 70's! 🤣
He looks scary, menacing.
First of all I would like to send my condolences to the .r Henry Santon family and to the show I as a viewer will miss him dearly and I'm sure it is a big lost to the show my his beautiful soul rest in peaceCC
Yes! What a charming and delightful knowledgeable lovely man he was, well missed
20:45 " Oh Crumbs!"
That green trunk with that huge key. Amazing!
Right?! I loved that giant key
Wonderful workmanship well done to the maker!!
You wouldn't want it to get stuck. Can youi magine any modern Locksmith being able to fix it? Maybe a Blacksmith! If there are any of those still around!
Im 40 years old and watching Antique Roadshow. Next up is MASH, gotta get ready for the nursing home.
im 56 now and this stuff is gold ;)
can not believe how well behaved the 3 young children are as the man explains the Hercules statuettes to the woman
22:43 She nearly said something naughty.. Lovely British Accents .
0:47 - "I'm here for the Duran Duran audition."
"oh golly Moses" - the sweetest old lady
Oh, I certainly hope that someday, some far away, wistful day, this show has the price displayed on the screen, like the Yanks do.
Theres antique silver and Gold Cutlery that is family erlems aswell dishes with Gold on it, cufflings passed down or watches of Gold And Silver. Werth very 🤑but it is best handed down to family members, or museumed or passed down. Silver exposed oxigen after sometime darkens so must be polished. Goodshow old boy, chinup🤑❤️🔥
Loveeeee this compilation. Please do this for more early seasons!
Ki
Lovely British Accents 👍🇬🇧
thr bbc archive is verry good. Keep doing these and i will keep paying my tv licence
No one understands why ppl in the UK have to buy and license for a TV
Outlandish and intrusive
Even if they don’t you’ll still have to pay your licence. 😂😂😂😂
Watching for the reactions - of the 'value reveal' - is enormous fun. It's great when people are pleasantly surprised, but, even more so when the owner thought it was worth much more, with the voice calmly saying; "Oh yes... Yes, thought as much..." while the whole face and body language are shouting "BUGGER!" 🤣😄
the green box stolen by the swedes during the war :)
That picture shows lake Geneva, not Como!
I agree ,he's probably her ex boyfriend and wondering how much she's going get
Bombay Box Is Magnificent 🎉😊
22:43 She nearly said something naughty.
The 90’s fashions make this soooo worth watching!
It's so close to 80s tho ! 😂❤ look at that Mustache
Pornstar😂😂😂😂
thats not the 90s lol
1987
Looks like 1970s, at least the hair, glasses and mustache
@@jordan3405 It's obvious the 90's. It even says so in the discription "Filmed in various locations in 1990."
1830 year to 1840 year as stated by the antiquatys proffessional😇
Tea and honey black tea, three crown, charley good. Tea time 12?
Wow, a look back in time
The Eighteenth Century microscope is breathtaking, from a time when form and function were inextricably linked.
I ❤that trunk
Do you find it fun? ....no it's quite an ugly thing
The owner looks like the porcelain lady figure.
That microscope was gorgeous.
Is that a Herefordshire accent the final gentleman speaks with?
Love the show…. But the ads here make it unwatchable
The watch expert @9:15 messed up by giving the higher value first.
It's actually worth over $600,000 now. There are only 3 Neptune Rolex dials in existence.
I just want to be in this room full of antiques with the beautifully dated decoration, in a stroller being pushed by my mother, taking a nap while all of these wonderful voices drone on in the background. What a lovely place, really it were a destination that one could currently visit
Where's the Cawley Silver that blew us all away
In 1990 the average London house price was £77,000, now it's £525,000, (thanks Google)
In 1990 I had a naf naf shell suit , how much will that be worth today
I almost didn’t recognise Hilary Kay.
Square cattle, they always interest me, you do find square sheep also.
Joseph are queering in the back🤣🤣
Does or was this show still going recently ❤?
Still going strong in it’s 45th year 😀
Love this ❤
2:40 I instantly said This is TARTARIAN WE NEVER MADE THIS... THEN HE PULLS OUT A GIANT'S KEY 😮
They always claim the French made everything, Never seen one in France ever!
2:58 that IS NOT "RICOCO" and just because it is Engraved does not mean it is Baroque
It isn't ! This is NOT French made
Ya the guy look like he's auditioning for West side story😂
Definite stifled f-bomb at 22:41 😂
Napoleon Dynamite
11,000 subs c'mon 😮
I think that piece is an atrocity.
Why is it that the experts and the majority of the Antique owners all so very posh and well spoken? Lol
The train set is worth 3 thousand quid all day long. If all the track is intact. Not many survived in this condition.
Charley Good old BBC.❤️🔥
If only $37,000 was worth £20,000 today.
great watch
>Key is the size of a ping pong paddle
I notice Lock Picking Lawyer's been awfully quiet ever since the Rococo chest came on scene....
Everyone speaks English in Sweden 😊.🇸🇪!!! (almost)😅
English people and American people have some of the best antiques ❤
More of these please!
Every episode looks like the cast of Napoleon Dynamite
By the way he said bombé, not Bombay. Haha
The villages are out of 💦🌊💦 water 🌊💦🌊
That stuffs worth of waaaay more nowadays.
That's quite a trunk.
I think it's more like 1880-1890 tbh, the painting style is very much latter C19th
That lock looks older than late 19th century.
But, it’s hard to judge from a VHS image. Added to that, I know nothing about antiques.
@@FranssensM I just tracked some down online- they were made in Berlin from 1889-1905
@@jakecavendish3470 they definitely looked older on that clip, but well spotted. If they were cheap enough I wouldn’t mind one myself. Amazing how prices have fallen on some older furniture.
@@FranssensM they have actually fallen in price, they seem to be about 3k a pair now which I think works out less than they were worth back in the early 90s
✔️
They're dumping things off 👽😔😭📴 🚂🚂 steamers.
Queen Elisabeth ll worth Alot of money stamps not touched with finger prints authentisized by licenced authenticator. Used with twizers and white gloves❤❤️🩹
I'm finally a member. I love all your Vidoes so much Sarah. They've been a big comfort to me. You've given me so much inspiration and now I'm looking into getting an allotment, hehe... 💘🫂🥰
