By that time both The Cosby Show and Miami Vice is about to premiere, many people expected that the show would bombed after one season. But instead, both shows became hits, regaining NBC to surpass both ABC and CBS by 1985.

No, not the legendary comedian or his father. It was one of NBC's West Coast staff announcers.
