    Hi Peter!
    I think the best photo is the last one, with the two figures and the flags in the background.
    It conveys volume and air very well, thanks to the tonal perspective.

    Thanks for the tips. I have shot in that same location many times but never climbed up on top of those cones. Next time I'm going to do that.

    Photo #19 is my clear winner. I would frame it and hang it to the wall. I imagine this is located in the movie "Bladerunner 2049". Amazing shot!

    On being alert, do you find using the rear screen rather than an EVF to compose images gives more spacial awareness? Going to try the one hour project tomorrow.

    • @ForsgardPeter
      @ForsgardPeter  2 месяца назад +1

      I use the LCD quite a bit. GR#x does not have an EVF, but I my X-S20 does and I still use LCD a lot. That is something I never thought I would use when digital cameras were new.

    Saul Leiter is one of my favorite photographers as well. He had a great eye for color. There is a documentary about him called In No Great Hurry - 13 Lessons in Life. We had a great commercial printer (recently retired) here in OKC that used to print for Saul back in NYC.

    • @ForsgardPeter

      I also like Saul Leiter. For some reason, he has been absent from my mind for years. I looked at his work years ago and then forgot about him. I am glad I found him again. I have not seen that movie. I can find it on Vimeo.

    • @JamesMeeks-l3j

      @@ForsgardPeterI watched it on Apple, and it's available on Vimeo like you said as well as Amazon. Worth the rental. Fred Herzog was a Canadian photographer and also had a great eye for color and compositions. I think he also shot on slide film like Leiter. No documentary that I know of but several books that are now super expensive. Wish I'd bought when it was affordable.

    When you choose the keepers in the first scan how do you mark them for later?

    • @ForsgardPeter
      @ForsgardPeter  2 месяца назад

      I use red color in Lightroom for keepers. I have set so that when pressing number six on the keyboard the image is marked red. The first round is usually only the ones that I need right away. Later I will go back and look if there are some image s that I have missed. Sometimes it is just an image that is good for something else than it was first intended for. This appleis to my own project. For clinet work i also use red color, but usually choose more images at first scan. Clients choice for further editing I use yellow, which is number 7 on the keyboard. I very seldom use star ratings.
      I hope this answers your question.
