Universal is killing it with their new additions! I'm shocked it took so long to get a Nintendo-themed area in a theme park, though. Glad it exists finally, though!
I was there after work and man it was just amazing to see how well detail this land and ride is. There’s so much to do in that little area and makes universal especially the lower lot now a more full day experience. Universal keeps on improving with everything they do. I can’t wait for the next ride they’re developing.

Got a GameCube back in the day as a kid and it was my first ever video game console. Now I have a Switch as an adult. This land takes me into the Nintendo video games and I can't wait to experience it someday. Too bad they didn't have enough space for the Yoshi ride or Donkey Kong rollercoaster though because I feel like one more ride would make the land feel complete.

I was there yesterday as well not knowing it was going to be a technical rehearsal day and got to ride the mario kart attraction, which was just complete nostalgia and also 10:36 u think of the bowser portrait and think Nintendo 64. I immediately thought super mario all stars on Super Nintendo because that’s when they first started putting bowser with his arms crossed on portraits on the wall in his castles in mario games

If you're into theme parks you should definitely put De Efteling in The Netherlands on your bucket list. I think it's the best theme park in the universe. 🙂

@@beautty80 From what i know annual passholders have already made reservations for selected days. When i visited i got lucky to see the technical rehearsals they have signs for you to make a reservation to go in. I'm not completely sure how they will do it from now on.
@@ThemeParkObsessionDD It is a fact though that the target group of this park should be...40 year old people, because it's us (yes, I belong to this group) who grew up with Super Nintendo (among others)! I don't think that too many kids today play those old games (and I mean the specific old games, not their current versions!). But ok, whatever, Snow White is from 1937, and today kids visit the related ride in Disneyland just fine... :p

If they do a Donkey Kong attraction in the future that would be next level. Fingers crossed for sure. And that bowser jr. challenge was so fun, can’t wait to do it again.
There was so much negativity surrounding the launch of this new land which makes me so sad. I think it’s such a welcome and needed addition to Universal Hollywood! My only gripe or critique other than the entryway pinch point was the lack of food options in general but ESPECIALLY for people with dietary restrictions. Whether that be Vegan / Vegetarian. Something Disney did such an INCREDIBLE job on with Galaxy’s Edge. Regardless, so so so happy to see all the hype and popularity of this land. Universal definitely has a winner on their hands with this one.
Most of the negativity came from the Disney community honestly. Which is sad because as consumers we need these parks to compete, it only gives us things like Nintendo. The land was also in tech rehearsals so improvements were still on the list of to do’s. I think Toads will bring in some more vegan options soon so that should be good. I can’t wait to see what they continue to do 😁

So my family has started taking a vacation every year, there is 12 of us with 4 kids under12. this year we are all picking a place, pricing it out and then voting on where we are going, this is going to be my choice based solely on Super Nintendo World, and maybe the backlot tour.

That would be pretty cool. Overall the system they chose is pretty good for what they wanted to accomplish.
The two portrait paints on either side of the peach's castle in Japan are lenticular, but in Hollywood they are screens.
I think I like the screens better because of the effect they do. Makes it look more like Mario 64.

So my family has started taking a vacation every year, there is 12 of us with 4 kids under12. this year we are all picking a place, pricing it out and then voting on where we are going, this is going to be my choice based solely on Super Nintendo World, and maybe the backlot tour.
Nintendo World is worth it for sure. I had an absolute blast.
I know it's too early, but I hope they have a Luigi's Mansion themed experience for HHN in the future 😄

I have been hearing that rumor as well. Would be a good purchase for the company I think, that way they can gain market share out there and maybe add some new things to the park.
