What did you think of the drawing and my thoughts on limiting the time you spend on one drawing/painting?

Did you enjoy this drawing process?
That’s actually such a good advice! I always catch myself procrastinating/refining/redoing in the process of drawing so it usually takes me several days and I start to hate it towards the end😅 I need to learn how to be more efficient. Thank you for the video! I like the drawing you made too✨
Oh, I feel you! I've been doing that for a while, until I realized what I shared in the video. I hope next time you set a time limit :P Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 😊
This is just so beautiful.
Aww 🥰 thank you so much 🙏🏻
I can see myself benefiting greatly from setting time limits. Typically I never would; I might find myself spending around half an hour on a single, colorless figure drawing and not realize how long it took just to get the arms right. If I really liked what I drew, I would digitalize it and correct any mistakes as I went, which takes what feels like ages. Only after being challenged to draw posed models from a photograph within just one minute did it hit me that I needed to work within a time limit in order to get better faster.
Jake, I know, right? It’s so easy to get lost in the process of just refining one small thing over and over as a sort of meditation.. I hope you give time limits a shot :) It will only help if done frequently though. Have fun)
I enjoyed this discussion, and, yes, you should do more like it. This was great advice. As a beginning "artist," I usually feel that every drawing should be "completed" instead of thinking of it as disposable and a part of the learning process. I understand "letting go" and allowing yourself to make mistakes, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist--even though I'm far from being accomplished at drawing. It makes total sense that limiting the time you spend on a drawing or painting allows you to move on to the next project because you need to spend thousands of hours drawing--but not necessarily on the same drawing! Thanks.
Craig, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me on this! I appreciate it ☺️
I also noticed that you put the word artist in quotations as it relates to yourself. I think they shouldn’t be there! You are an artist! Whether you believe yourself to be accomplished or not. Thanks again for watching ☺️
@@AnnaSok_Art As a runner, I used to say something similar when new runners would tell me that they were "just" a jogger, not a runner. But, I would say--of course, you're a runner. You are very kind, thank you.
@@craiglore1821 it's funny you say this because I absolutely do feel like "just a jogger". I just watched your video "Run Down" and now I know what you mean by you being a runner :)) Great work!
AnnaSok_ Art if you’re not walking, you’re a runner.
This looks really neat :P
Thank you! 😊
This is a very useful video thanks I'll limit my time I spend on technology
Dennis, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 😊
👍👍👍
☺️☺️☺️
Hi! this was very useful advice!! Do you have any tips for webcomic artists? Sorry if I'm bothering you!
Hi Maria, not at all! Thank you so much for watching my video, I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😊 I haven't created any webcomics myself, but I did make a few comic strips for my uni class back in the day. And I think the best advice I can give you is to be honest with yourself and your characters. It might sound vague, but I noticed that once I relaxed and just let the characters do their thing without involving myself much, the comics just came together. Also have fun!! Hope that helps somehow 🙈
@@AnnaSok_Art Thank you! I'll try to incorporate that into my webcomic!
