Bret's an awesome author. American Psycho is one of my favorite books of all time. That's not even mentioning Less Than Zero, The Rules Of Attraction or any of his other books.
Carolla is like the neighbor that works on his cars and trucks all day and has an opinion about everything. You just shrug and say, "I understand" without necessarily agreeing to anything.
Having a writer on the show who's been compared to Dostoevsky and Didion, and none of the shits have read his fucking work. Not sure if Ellis was pissed or relieved.
Mario Terzoli I've jumped to the comments first and I'm bailing out after reading these two comments, what a bunch of fuckin idiots, you could read Less Than Zero in a day, and at least talk to Ellis about something. Jesus.
Seriously can you let Bret Easton Ellis talk more the next time? I wanted him to talk about his youth and maybe a bit about pop culture and not about what you think about smoking or whatever.
I worked as a bartender for years and years and some of those bars did not have the greatest ventilation, that was 25 years ago, and I am 69 years old and doing just fine, I do not smoke cigs.
forget about second hand smoke! did you know that 29 million people are impaled by rebar every year! shocking I know, the emergency rooms are full of construction workers, scribbles the juggalo Denver Omaha SET!
Nirvana is probably MY personal favorite rock band of all time, pretty much because of Kurt and how I felt just so very close to him personally without knowing him personally. I though think the the greatest band to ever happen, the most genius was I'm sorry Queen. In my opinion Queen is still the greatest band ever, Nirvana though is a different kind of art that really relates with me on a more personal close way though, but Queen is the greatest ever. Kiss, CCR,David Bowie, even Elton or Michael, none of them hit the energy of that music but they all are Gods.
Miley Cyrus isn't attractive. I mean seriously she isn't on most mens top 100, if you just threw out a pile of playboys and maxims you could get that number to her not being in the top 10,000.
+Kit palmer... so... someone makes a true statement (you concede this), but you judge his motives, because of his age and determine that what he really means is different from what he says? Do you have some special ability that the rest of us don't?
Never heard of Cat until today, I listened to Father Son and just don't see what the bog deal is AT ALL..kind of a goofy song actually..must be the generation gap.
It boggles my mind how David Wild is actually considered a credible music critic...simply the worst musical taste, it never fails...goes to show the type of mediocre minds at the helm of the industry
well now im talking to you and the nazi, i have no clue what any of you are really saying, cept of course the nazi hates jews but that goes without saying, i just wanted to vent about Wild because hes supposed to be this critical savant or something but every single song he has them play is so underwhelming & cheesy its downright laughable
really does illuminate how the industry thinks, theyre not so much professional music critics as they are professional celebrity ass-kissers, rolling stone magazine is no different than tigerbeat for music fans, its a big cunty fascist starfucker rag and thats all to be said about it, they just want to sell advertisement and the bigger the celebrity they can publicly blow the better they can do that
He's a personal friend there cupcake, we joke on each other all the time. Now that's 30 seconds of your life your not getting back. Beautiful horse you have their
David Wild going on about sexuality in those awful 80's Hall and Oates songs is even creeper in video format than it would be just listening to it. Still I too have no problem going into the crap RnRHOF because their 70's songs were great. Still who cares?

Adam, teach me how to live! the background music whenever ellis would talk about his life was funny too

had many neighbors like that, we always called it garage logic
the story about getting his grandfather to pay for his education out of his spite to his father is classic.
1:09:53 "Alright! Carollas on 3" - Way under-appreciated joke.
😂 what’s the name of that piece of fancy music they play at 1:03:02
WTH? As I'm half way through American Psycho! Cool stuff
what's up with the long pause in the beginning
Having a writer on the show who's been compared to Dostoevsky and Didion, and none of the shits have read his fucking work. Not sure if Ellis was pissed or relieved.
Seemed pissed to me... "50 shades of Grey" I mean she literally compared American Psycho to 50 shades of grey. wtf even is that.
Mario Terzoli I've jumped to the comments first and I'm bailing out after reading these two comments, what a bunch of fuckin idiots, you could read Less Than Zero in a day, and at least talk to Ellis about something. Jesus.
@@mtterzoli I would’ve been so pissed off. He handled himself pretty well
Seriously can you let Bret Easton Ellis talk more the next time? I wanted him to talk about his youth and maybe a bit about pop culture and not about what you think about smoking or whatever.
Does Adam still doing video podcast? What is the logic behind video-audio podcast,

I haven't heard of this guy, I only searched for interviews with Ellis, but this guy Adam thinks second hand smoke isn't dangerous? Lol.
GET RID OF DAVID WILD!
Would someone get that lemon zest out of Adam's eye?
Ellis looks like Glenn beck
What no Mona Bone Jakon jokes?

"just because it's new doesn't mean it's good" would be true if it wasn't coming from an old man who just doesn't like change.
+Kit Palmer So, it's only true when certain people say it? How does that work?
numbersixman what I meant was it's technically true, but what he really means is he doesn't think it's good purely because it's new.
+Kit palmer... so... someone makes a true statement (you concede this), but you judge his motives, because of his age and determine that what he really means is different from what he says? Do you have some special ability that the rest of us don't?

+Mel Blank I'm just going to assume you're talking to the Nazi.

Feel better about yourself now that you've rudely insulted someone else's appearance?
He's a personal friend there cupcake, we joke on each other all the time. Now that's 30 seconds of your life your not getting back. Beautiful horse you have their
Mike M you're* there*
Where are the poor guys chairs?
I always wonder if Ellis is bored by conversations of lesser intelligence than him, lol.
That music was sucky. People were nuts in the 80's.
*****
People are still nuts, but the music has improved.
meh. there's always good and bad.FroggieTheR0gue
most sensitive podcast ever. I want to hug my imaginary dog now. Still an awesome podcast though.
Bald Brian is still alive???
