Even though I am not a mechsnic (although I learn a lot from you, Erik) I LOVE these reviews. Why? Because I am a tech nerd and I would tbink tbat anyone who likes/loves tech will really enjoy these reviews. I know I do. My best to you and Jenn.
There is nothing wrong with being a nerd- You might have to use one these one day- you will be able to figure out what is wrong so you will not get hosed by a crooked auto shop
Thr problem i have with it is it doesnt give "normal operation" operations.. you have to know them .. the dtc codes are not the same as ecm codes.. know any ways to get parameters data ..
Have you tried connecting it to the internet to download updates? The dongle also needs updating from time to time. Plug it directly into the scan tool to update it.
Perhaps you can do a factory reset of the app? That should bring it back to the factory software. From there you can install all the updates again. @@mrtaliano3164
Honestly? No. I'm an L1 certified ASE Master tech that has been working on cars since 1991. These are my toys. Literally. Each one digs into some sub-system that another one won't. It's really pretty awesome that I have the chance to play with so many of these things. I'm pretty poor in real life and could never afford to buy many of the cool stuff companies send me. I just came in after setting up a 24 foot....yes, 24 Foot wide outside movie screen. I could never afford to own anything like that, and now thanks to This channel and viewers like you, companies send stuff like that to me. I genuinely feel blessed in a way I can put to words. It's been a crazy few years here.
These kinds of tools make work fun. Thanks for sharing.
Agreed. These things have come such a long way. It's crazy to think of what this tool can do.
@@FarpointFarms yes, that's true.

With some functions in windshields can this scanner reset those functions. Thanks a lot for presenting this scanner.
I am surprised that it didn't get a lot of views today. It's one of the nicest scan tools I've reviewed, and it sells for a great price.
I just scrolled down your list . Where is part 2?? Why no part 2??
Check my other channel- Farpoint Farms Restorations and Repairs
@@FarpointFarms I actually already watched that video and didn't realize it was part 2 lol. Thx

Great information. Thank you.
Glad I could help!!

Have you tried to go in on the generic side? That should give you the P codes you are looking for.
Does part 2 exist?? Can't find it anywhere

Wanting to get a base station, you are way more knowledgeable than me, it’s between the bearcat 980, or the McKinley? If one, which is better?
Either will serve you very well! I have both and love them.
Hi Buddy, don't you ever get sick of reviewing Scan Tools?
