I got SO MUCH SHADE for confessing I sometimes call myself a lesbian when I'm actually asexual and homoromantic. Apprently it was very wrong to call yourself your romantic attraction and this person was very having a go at me. Most of the time it's no one's buisness what my sexual orientation is, but who I date is a lot more relevant. And to aquaintances it's a lot easier and more relevant to come out as who I'm dating - only girls - therefore as a lesbian, than having to explain asexuality and intimate parts of my sex life and feelings and libido and all kinds of things that COULD come up since they've never heard of asexuality. SO much easier for me to just say lesbian and continue the conversation, and the day I get a girlfriend I will be seen as a lesbian by by-passers. I'm not ashamed the slightest of my asexuality, but sometimes it's not relevant to talk about sex, and often I don't want to explain real personal information. My closer friends and family know I'm ace and have no problems with it.

For example his love of theatre and more specifically dance, his more camp behaviour, the way he dressed, e.t.c. I'm gonna focus on the clothing a bit, specifically his hat. Because everything about his outfit was a symbol of him being gay, him wearing the hat on an angle would be no exception. Ryan's dad straightens the hat and Ryan puts it back on an angle throughout HSM2. Of course this could just be a dad "not being with the times" (like how some parents don't get ripped jeans). However because so much of what Ryan wears, and does-including a singing a song that's supposedly about baseball and dance-I wouldn't be surprised if the hat thing is another analogy for Ryan being gay and for his dad wanting him to be straight/being in denial about Ryan being gay.

I'm a bisexual trans girl, but I usually describe myself as "like 95% lesbian" because I'm mostly interested in other women. It most certainly is not 50/50 for the majority of bi people.
My friend was in a similar situation with their sexuality but then they found the term homoflexible and they felt much more comfortable and confident in their sexuality. As a straight, cis woman in my 40s, I was last single in the 90s, and back then I found the idea of seeing a bisexual guy uncomfortable because I felt they'd have needs I couldn't meet. I honestly don't know how I'd feel now, but I'm glad the younger generations are feeling freer.

Thank you so much for covering topics on Bisexuality. I've known I've been bi since I was pre-teen but it's always felt weird to come out as bi because of the assumptions about bi people. Going into how a lot of people consider Lady Gaga to be "such a great ally" that's how I feel a lot of times ("just an ally") because I tend to date men, but am still attracted to women and non-binary people. Your bi content is helping me be more confident in my identity. Thank you!

I'm a bisexual trans girl, but I usually describe myself as "like 95% lesbian" because I'm mostly interested in other women. It most certainly is not 50/50 for the majority of bi people.

I've always liked to think of bisexuals like werewolves. A werewolf can be human shaped but it is still a werewolf, it can be wolf shaped but it is still a werewolf. A bisexual can be in a same sex relationship and still be bisexual, in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex and they are STILL BISEXUAL. So, basically, we're werewolves.
