@@RyanIsIffy Hey, what is the best staff to use for the build?
Hexos (weapon and jewelry) and orders wrath works well. High crit, and huge shield when critting. Add ice heart for massive survivability.
Hexos is okay for sure, not my first choice but I did run it on my blade for a bit. Orders wrath is nice, it’s the same thing as gourmands but gourmands is stronger if you can get the food right. Def awesome choices though if you have access to them 🙂

looking at multiple builds for mag necro and no one seems to use the maelstrom staff? is there a better alternative or should i still go for that
It recently got a nerf so people are more inclined to try different things. "A better alternative" Not really tbh. I think its worth going for. You only need to do it on normal. I believe in you. Also sorry for the late reply.
I have been away from the game since the launch of Elswyr. I've been considering getting back into it. Is this build still viable/good as of now in March 2024? Seeing lots of changes were made to the class. For reference, my Necro is a Breton that is also a Vampire. I have been away for 5 or so years as I said, and im just at 295 champion rank and I apparently was using a 2 handed staff. I habe a 5 star "superior" rating for my current gear".Any info is appreciated.
As update 41 drops I’ll be making a brand new necro build. Yes it is viable as of now. But coming with the changes I will make some fresh changes to it aswell. :)
Thanks for the build, brother. Did you try it in solo vet dungeons? I love to explore these in solo, and it's good with HA-build, but maybe your build will be better. What do you think? And how about DPS?
I’m so sorry for the late reply. I ran it through all content except trials. I still run it through dungeons to this day.

Is there a different option if we don’t have channeled acceleration??
Yes channeled acceleration is more of a flex spot, you could try barbed trap, necrotic potency, or deaden pain if you find yourself taking to much damage, or even agony totem to get some nice protection+minor vuln. Necrotic has ALOT of options.

what is armor/armor style in the thumbnail?
Its just Manimarco's unfortunately there's nothing accurate in the game for it yet, however I think some tweaking with the outfit station could get you pretty close.
whats that outfit your wearing in video?
Oh gosh ummm If i remember correctly its a mix helm is the Baron Zauldrus Monster motif. (I think thats how its spelt). And the rest is a bit of a mix. Between Witch something and snow something. I'm sorry the outfit has since been replaced but I'll try find it when I log on next.

Omg yes, I’m working on one, I’ve got the idea just gotta put it all together, I’ve been live for 11 months 24/7 so super hard doing all the behind the scenes stuff
What did the build parse?
All my solo builds parse around the 70k mark. This is without changing any skills or gear to account for the dummy changes. this means A LOT of skills are useless on a parse because a lot of what the skills do the dummy does.
TLDR: The dummy parse is a terrible comparison of what the build can do in content.
can I trifecta vet fang lair?
In a group you sure can.

Is this build good for pvp?
While you can PvP with it, I wouldn’t say it’s a good PvP build.
Can you only play solo with this?
No, you can use it in almost all situations. :)

Necro known for sustain? Really?!? Everywhere I look and have seen necro struggles with sustain because it's complicated

Haha you’re fine. It’s now a balance, but yes they have a tonne of utility sustain built into the class. It really depends on what you’re trying to get out of it. 😉
