I really wish you would have put up examples of the ig pics that made you want these! This video is TOTALLY what I’ve been wanting a plant person to make 😌
I actually wanted to! But I thought it might be mean to show peoples photos where it didn’t live up to expectation since i mentioned heavily edited photos. But in hindsight I should’ve done it for the ones that did live up to expectation! If I do another one of these, I’ll do that! 💛
Always love seeing Pudge. Charmaine you have a very juvenile Patrciae. I thought the exact same thing. Honestly I thought they sent me something else. I placed it in one of your parfaits recipes and it is absolutely stunning. Maybe because I live in Florida. I don't know but mine looks gorgeous. Your blue oil fern is lovely. I have one too, living outside under a tree and in semi shade and it is very dark and very blue. Your sp Columbia is just jaw dropping.
"Buttery, smooth, matte" (Damon)🤣 Thanks for the laugh! I agree also about the El Choco Red... I never found it "striking my fancy" LOL not compared to Luxurians, Gloriosum, Verrucosum... I hope to one day purchase Ecuagenera's Verrucosum Amazon sunset which has the red backs, fuzzy petioles, striking veination, all that. I think you were speaking on the Genevievianum and from what you said my thoughts were it's a nice piece of greenery but not exactly exotic IMO. I'm glad you're keeping them though because they may transform into something you love over time.
Sp Columbia has gotten SO much publicity lately, usually I try to avoid the hot plant. But, that’s one I’m not sure I’ll be able yo resist! Lovely video as always! I hope you’re enjoying CA!
"Buttery matte" is the best description of such type of foliage, I will definitely steal this phrase :D Texture is so important when it comes to plants! I have the anthurium clarinervium, love it, grows like a beast for me and its leaf so plump. I got ig influenced into the anthurium silver blush and its leaves vere so thin and flimsy in comparison to the clari... never again, lol :D
Charmaine, you did it. Under 40 minutes but I like yours longer. I get more of you and pudge. Can’t wait to see what you do for your next video. I know what you mean by being underwhelmed by a plant. For almost a year I’ve been underwhelmed by my little (emphases on little) fig tree. For the longest time it didn’t grow at all. This summer it finally started growing and now I love it So maybe some of yours will turn around in your mind and heart. You’ll have to tell us if one does. Maybe you could do a repeat of this type of video again. It was interesting.
I've heard that about the microsum oil fern (or whatever it's called) that it gets darker foliage when in low light situation. Don't know your growing conditions at the moment but would try more darker spot and see if that helps.
I'm TOTALLY in the same camp when it comes to the philo Patriciae! I kind of get it when I see pictures of it, but every time I've seen it in videos on other plant channels I'm just not into it and I think that comes down to mainly the texture and even the shape of the leaf. The texture and shine of the leaves almost looks like what large leaves look like on fake plants🤔 And I usually LOVE long leaf aroids, but I think that they are too wide or something and it throws me off..I can't really put my finger on it!🤷
I am not a hoya fan but I love my obovata. I also need to get one of those trellis for it. I have no excuse either because I actually live in Georgia and have seen Prop Diaries selling them in person ugh.
I had the same experience with the el choco red tbh. Especially since Ive had such root problems with mine. Idk if its me or the plant but the roots on this one are just always not so satisfying?😂 ai cut mine up into wet sticks. Now they have nice roots and I will sell them to get a plant that will meet my expectations😤😂 Loved this video idea❤️🤗
And I'm back! Been so busy with new job, and dealing with low key but strong low key depression I've not been on insta or YT. But I'm back and I see your Obovata and it's so beautiful! How do you manage to get it so bushy? I got a cutting last year, and it's grown so long, but leggy. It's under a bloody grow light, so really, there is no reason for it to grow leggy. It's recently bloomed, first time, so I'm super happy, bit still. I want a bushy Obovata, not a leggy fucker. P.S. You are looking gorgeous!
I literally just noticed last night that my Hoya obvata wasn’t doing well and yes it was overwatered. I have to reroof it all over again. It’s so sad cause it was soooo big

Pudge is so cute! So are you! 🇨🇦
I love catching up on your older videos while getting house chores done. You have such a calming voice and it makes you really great to listen to😊
I love Pudge !! He is just to cute 🥰
I love that you bring up edited pictures. So many plants being sold off edited pictures…
The Obovata!!!! Holy grail Hoya!! I love that plant so much I don’t mind having duplicates.
Oh man! I am being influenced by you to get an Obovata 😄😉

That poor patriciae. 😂 And agree with el choco 100%. (Also love hearing Pudge’s nails on the floor)

The Rhipsalis Paradoxa FOREVER MY FAVORITE! Great video AGAIN!💕
“i’m determined to make a video under 40 minutes” *38 minute video* HAHA no shade, i absolutely love the long videos
Sp Columbia has gotten SO much publicity lately, usually I try to avoid the hot plant. But, that’s one I’m not sure I’ll be able yo resist! Lovely video as always!
I hope you’re enjoying CA!
Great video! Now I'm gonna be on the lookout for that superfuzzzy sinnewhatever leucowhatsit.
I love this video idea!! Way to go you are out here killing it!!!!
I have the crawling form of the sp Colombia/silver and it’s definitely my favorite plant. The leaves are stunning!
14:14 😂. Girl you are glowing 👌. I’ve seen some crazy long burros tail and I can’t even keep a 5 inch one from dyin 😅
Random comment but the sweater is so cute! And also LOL when you were like what you see is not real 😂
I just got a huge Sp Colombia 🥰 thanks to you and Fern for convincing me 😉
Love that fuzzy plant 😍 I can also absolutly recommend the alocasia antoro velvet.

Picking up a rhipsalis paradoxa from a local seller tmr. So excited!! Thanks for another great video 🌱
Oh man I have been influenced by instagram way too much, but yeah plants are still with me lol.

I love your plant pots. Where do you get them?
If you’re referring to the clear vessels, I get them at thrift stores!

I’m late to the party, so your plant experiences were very helpful. Question…Where can I find the clear (acrylic?) planters you use?
I am not a hoya fan but I love my obovata. I also need to get one of those trellis for it. I have no excuse either because I actually live in Georgia and have seen Prop Diaries selling them in person ugh.
Your El choco is beautiful.
Where are the clear pots from?
❤️
Iam on vacation right now, Iam so excited to go home and stroke my plants 🤪😂🌹

I have also had root problems with mine!! the roots are so incredibly fine and i could never get the watering quite right.

Hi Charmaine ❤️👋🏽 I finally came across a Sinningia leucotricha after looking for so long! They’re so hard to find!! Do you have any care tips for it?
I literally just noticed last night that my Hoya obvata wasn’t doing well and yes it was overwatered. I have to reroof it all over again. It’s so sad cause it was soooo big
Ok, I have so many questions for you. Should I put my Hoya in sphagnum or perlite? They all died in soil. Help.
20:36 but charmaine… is it fuzzy? is it fuzzy, though?
Get a squishmellowww they are so nice n soft. Also great after a long day.
