I think you two did a great presentation for your annual expenses, I dont get to compare our cost to other RVers very often as most leave so many items out so I really appreciate your sharing. We hope you find a nice home for Vinney but more importantly, hope you find the perfect RV for you to continue to share your RV adventure with the rest of us. Really enjoy your interactions with each other and especially some of your facial expressions..
Thank you so much for the kind words! We felt much like you do, if we truly want to help others with their planning and to feel comfortable with their decision, every item is important to include. We are anxious to continue our search for our new home. Hope this pandemic passes very soon. Thanks again for sharing your spreadsheet with us when we first got started. You both stay safe and healthy! Hope to cross paths soon. 😊🤓
You both look much healthier in this video! I’m joining a Planet Fitness when we hit the road! Too much sitting is definitely a weight gainer! Appreciate your info!!
Thanks! Yes, but the funny thing is. When we lived in a house, we sat at our jobs the same amount of time and didn’t walk near as much as we do now. It’s all about healthy eating which we have been very bad at lately and have recently started back up with what has always worked well for us in the past. 👍🏻
Another great video! I’ve been envious of Michele working on the road. I’ve been working from home for one week and dear Lord!! Michele makes this look easy.
Hahaha! I’ve heard that same statement from my coworkers that are now working from home for the first time! There’s definitely a learning curve. ~ 🤓Michelle 🧡
Thanks for sharing your yearly expenses. We are in a holding pattern until the country returns to normal, upon which time, we will begin our full time adventures. Stay safe and safe travels!
So happy to hear you found it helpful. We are in place at a Thousand Trails and they allowed everyone to extend and stay an extra 30 days with no charges. Just staying in our home and enjoying the outdoors and nature when going for walks and enjoying the quiet time relaxing under our awning on the “patio.” Remember, most Thousand Trails Resorts/Campgrounds are gated with security and no access to public unless they are coming in for something like to service an RV etc. We feel we are safer than we were in a regular neighborhood. Plus we still have the feel as if we were on a vacation. Safe travels and stay safe! 🧡😊🤓
Great review of your first year. TT seams to be a great cost savings. While following your channel there are good and not so good TT campgrounds. Good to know as we plan our first year. Best wishes on your second year.
Thank you guys! We almost went a year and a half before getting the first year out, we’ll try to get year two out sooner next year. Keep in mind, some of the TT campgrounds/resorts may be much nicer before long. They have been renovating a few at a time. Lake Conroe is a great example if you haven’t seen our video on that yet. Thanks again and stay healthy. 🧡😊🤓
It’s very strange though how we have heard some that think we live this way because they think it’s cheaper and then there are others that say, “how do you afford to live that way?” It can really go either way depending on how you can/want to live.
Thank you so much. What a great spreadsheet. I'm still "part-timing". After this Corona Virus situation passes, I will be making a decision as to going full-time. I am a single, retired Air Force Officer!
Thank you and thank you for your service! If it’s something you’ve been wanting to do, then you should do it. We have been so thankful that we chose to while we are able. Good luck and stay safe! 😊Brian & 🤓Michelle
Now that its 2022 and with the cost fuel and everything sky rocked it's going to look much different , thank you for sharing that was very interesting...I need to keep track of my spending here at home to see where it all go's, lol
Thanks for sharing all of that. I am about to get started, have been watching a number of RUclipss on the life and when it comes to budgets I found this one impressively honest. Subscribed and liked. I will be retired, won't have any vehicle payments but I will want to budget vehicle replacement. That budget was outside my expectation, but I will be me alone, and I love wilderness, so will spend more time in the boonies. And while my hair cuts are cheap I thought Michelle's looked great. Thank you again.
Thank you and it feels so good to hear others like yourself finding the spreadsheet and our expenses so helpful. Helping others and laughter is THE best “medicine” available! You should be able to live very comfortably it sounds. We love the wilderness as well. I have been telling Michelle the same thing...her hair looks great...plus, I’m trying to delay as long as possible so that I don’t have to do it...I enjoy life! 😂🤣 Safe travels and thanks so much for your message! 🧡😊🤓
Good to know. We have a channel as well about traveling with things to do and eat. If you want to check it out, it’s Runawaywithusrv. We release ours on Sundays. 👍🏼❤️
Thanks Kathleen! Yes, we are staying safe and have not been outside of the park in over a week now and that was just me going to the grocery store. We plan to go one more week before getting groceries. Not bad for a smaller fridge, but yet there’s just two of us. Staying clear of the cow patties! 😂 Looks like they are back with their owner now. Kinda strange seeing cows so close to a big city! 🐮👀
Hi Brian and Michelle 👋🏻👋🏻 Just watched your expense video tonight with my hubby. He’s been viewing for a while, this was my first one. I’m hooked! Thank you for such a detailed and informative video and spreadsheet. We’re a few years away from retirement but definitely planning a life of travel thereafter. I’ll head over to your FB page and message ya from there to request the spreadsheet. Thanks again! Be well and safe travels!! Denise and Jeff, Northern MN

Very Informative video. Your budget seems to be very complete. We are starting our Vision when we retire in September. Is it possible to get a copy of your spreadsheet? Thanks much Brian and Michelle....Remember as you go through life eat lots of Pie.
Congratulations on your soon to be retirement and one step closer to making your vision a reality! You absolutely can! Hi Alan. We will be creating a spot on our website as soon as we get a chance to create a place on our website. If you send us an email address we would be happy to send you a copy in the meantime. We would love to help any way we can! ~😊Brian & 🤓Michelle
Just coming to this video tonight (10/1/21) but I love that you shared so much detail. Do you perchance have a link to that sheet without your details? Great format!
Have you applied for a TSD Logistics Fuel card yet? I apologize if you already talked about it in a previous video. Next Exit also talks about it in one of their videos. We have saved a lot of money with that card. You have a great channel, keep safe on your travels.
Hi Tom! Yes we do. We’ve had it shortly after the Tampa Show but we have not had to fill up for fuel yet since we have been close by since. Yes, it’s a big savings indeed. Thank you very much for the kind words! 🧡😊🤓 You and yours stay safe as well.
very good info, I don't know if you have a diesel card that could save you some money on it. anyways i just discovered yall and i def like how you presented this video. awesome keep on living the life my friends. take care.
@@LivinRVision yes, I remember my Edward Jones guy had me fill out a wish list for retirement and I was amazed at how much I need to save to have that lifestyle.
We are still a year out from hitting the road! Do you by chance have this spreadsheet available to us. I will tweek it to our needs, but I don't know where to start. Thanks a bunch!
You can live very comfortably with that budget if using the Thousand Trails system OR cutting costs other ways. Hope you will be able to live that vision soon! 🧡😊🤓
@@LivinRVision You're very welcome. I'm not yet an RVer, but I can't wait to start. I started off watching all the "well known" couples, now I look forward to seeing yours more.
@@LivinRVision Yes..it's going to be another 2 years. Have to wait for hubby to retire. He works for New York City Transit so it's impossible to work on the road😟. It'll go by quick🤞. Thank you for your response. Hope to meet you on the road. 💜💜
Hi Vincent! Oh heck yeah! We were just talking Sunday as we were driving through the gorgeous mountains how fortunate we are to be able to see all these different sights, especially after working all day and having something new and beautiful to go see. What would we do differently I’m not really sure other than tow four down instead of the dolly. We had just bought the car though, so we did want to take a big hit on the car. Now I wish we would of but hey, it’s been an experience. I still love having a Class A but we are now ready to go a different route and hopefully be able to experience more along those 2 lane highways where we have nowhere to turn around with a Class A pulling a tow. That’s all I can think of at the moment but we may put together a video on the subject sometime.
I have had the TT zone membership for 4 years now. Living sticks and bricks and going "camping" every month. Then I got the Encore package and spent a lot of this winter going back and forth from home to Encore in AZ. Now I am spoiled. I don't think I can live in just the TT parks. I live in CA so many of the parks are way out of town and don't have a lot of amenities. I just spend 2 weeks ( I can work from my RV fulltime) at San Benito and was totally bored. So, not going full time when I retire in ~1 1/2 years but plan to travel out and come back. Do you guys get bored at the TT rv parks?
Thanks for your message. When we say we stay within the TT system, we sometimes refer to it including Encore (Trails Collection add on within Thousand Trails). We never get bored, mainly because we don’t do a lot at the resorts/campgrounds as we are usually sightseeing on the weekends and working during the week. However, we have found MOST of the Thousand Trails always have some type of activity going on. San Benito is probably the absolute least favorite campground we have ever been too next to Soledad Canyon. We left San Benito early. However...the company that bought TT a while back is renovating the TT campgrounds and we hear Soledad Canton has already started. TT Lake Conroe is a good example of what is to come for future renovations. All campgrounds age and they finally have financial backing that is taking care of doing the long awaited renovations. We were bot planning to go back to Soledad, but you could tell this resort was super nice at one time, so we are anxious to see what they do with it. It was a nice location for visiting around the LA area without being too close. Don’t give up on them. You will find a lot of very nice TT places all around the country...our only complaint is not having much of anything in the midwest.
Yes, we are going to try to find a good home for Vinny first, then make the decision to buy something else. Maybe not new, just depends what is available when someone decides to adopt Vinny. 😊 We hope we don’t regret it, as Vinny has been so reliable. *knock on wood
Hi Karen, We thought we talked about/mentioned these things...no? This video was over a year ago, but we do remember that the health ins was not listed because we don’t pay for it. We were showing “our” costs. Hopefully it helped you as much as it has others and not confused you. Let us know, we can always go back and take a look again at the spreadsheet and video again if needed. Either way, the spreadsheet gives everyone a good idea and they can add or subtract the expenses that they know they would have, especially those that are different for each of us, like health Ins, car registrations, RV registrations and drivers license(s) (which ours renews every 5 years).👍🏻😊🤓
In most places, but we had changed to an AT&T plan with unlimited data and no throttling at the same time I changed my phone plan to Visible. We have been good everywhere we go with the Visible/Verizon and AT&T and keeping costs down at the same time.
Wow! We must be living like pulpers compared to what you two spent this past year! We have full timed for 7 years and not come close to those figures. However, I see where some of your expenses are more than ours. We have been in the TT system throughout the year, so no additional costs for us on that. We also don't buy a lot of trinkets, shirts, etc. Good luck with the sale of your coach. What size rig are you looking to get into? We have found over the years, the 40 footer is the perfect size for us and our travels! Just an FYI.
I’m not sure if you were able to see the entire spreadsheet presentation, but the biggest reason why our expenses are as high as they are is mainly due to the loan on our coach and the car. Take those two away and now we are $14,040 lower. We hope to be into something else soon after this pandemic is long gone, which it sounds like it may be a while. Thanks for the good luck wishes. 😊 40’ has been a nice size and I really like it, but as in some of our prior videos, Michelle doesn’t feel comfortable driving so we have been thinking about downsizing for a while now. We also talk about downsizing to make some places easier stopping. There has been many times on a two lane highway where we had no place to turn around our 40’ coach pulling toad and was quite disappointing, especially going through the Redwoods. To each their own, but that’s just our personal experience. We have met many people from those who have had big rigs and still stay with them to people that has had big rigs and decided to downsize and say they won’t go back. So there is really no one perfect “one size fits all” rig. Seems like we all have our own wants and wishes. But...it’s still been a hard decision, so we may not end up downsizing. Too soon to tell. Thanks so much for sharing, we truly do appreciate yours and everyones input and personal experience(s). 🧡😊🤓
Not sure if it was included, but would depreciation for car and RV be figured into the spreadsheet (given it's a $$$ loss, and potentially for some - a need to replace of like year and model years down the road)? Or would that just be considered as a cost of monthly living (like rent), minus the equity derived from a typical home purchase (less repairs). Great video and spreadsheet. Good luck on your new Motor home selection. Enjoyed the humor.
Great question! This spreadsheet is only about our expenses to live one year full time in an RV, so that others have an idea of the expenses. Depreciation will differ for everyone depending on many factors. The amount you are able to buy and sell for is the main obvious factor. Again, this is simply what we “spent out of pocket” for one full year. Thanks so much! 🧡😊🤓
Hi Bobby! We covered that when we made the reference “knock on wood”. 😊We do not have any medical expenses. We have insurance through Michelle’s employer for both of us.
No we didn’t. We were in FL at the time of the stay-in-place orders started. We were already at the Orlando Thousand Trails resort and they allowed us to stay past our regular 21 days at no cost. We ended up staying about 2 months there. No problems since then either. We’ve been at a TT resort in AZ two different times and no issues.
Hi Dennis! As seen in many of our videos... 😉Vinny is our 2009 Newmar Ventana 3960 and we are selling “Vinny Ventana” to downsize. We are far from being done with this lifestyle (Knock on wood). We have been absolutely loving this life. Vinny has been very good to us, but we want to change up our living, downsize and hope that Michelle will be comfortable driving something smaller. 😊
Definitely a yes. Even if you stay at Thousand Trails part of the time you will still save a lot of money. Also, they have been dumping a lot of money in renovating some of their older campgrounds and resorts. It is our recommendation to get a resale that has more benefits than paying twice as much through Thousand Trails and not near as beneficial perks that some of the older memberships have. Yes, we get a referral fee for referring you to Kim at Campground Membership Outlet, but we only are affiliated with companies and products that we completely, 100% believe in and use ourselves. Send Kim an email and ask whatever questions you have and you will quickly see why we recommend her. She is a wealth of information and will give you nothing but the truth of what is best for you. We have a link below in the description or you can find it on our website at www.LivinRVision.com/resources We are here to help and this is one of the most important money saving things you can do for this lifestyle. Happy to help. 😊🤓
If you’re talking about the book value, we’ve looked that up occasionally over the past 1 1/2 years to follow it’s “book” value, BUT if you’re talking what a dealer will give us...we all know that get’s “fudged” and is all depending on what you are trading for and what the dealer has in it. You definitely have to know what you’re doing or you can go very far upside down.
LivinRVision We are going fulltime for the second time and have been thinking of trading . I have been several places, the major RV dealers, all will not offer a trading value over wholesale. That’s less than 1/2 of what we owe. Your best bet will sell it yourself. Good luck.
It's Phunny ande interesting that you chose to "pick on" staying outside of 1000 trails system to explain or justify the cost over run and not something like groceries and choosing non-name brand items. I mean: Really excellent that you were so close to your house yearly budget, but $700 over the year? maybe lest gifts? it would be interesting to see what line items were higher this year compaired to in the house. Obviously Fuel costs would be negated in that compairison. But what I'm saying is picking on out of network lodging as the reason is kind of limiting and mentally barricading yourselves in lodging options only within 1K-Trails and that may stunt your experiences just a little.. But thank you for sharing all of this. It gives me an Idea what I need to make for a year through Location independent employment.
Thanks Mike, there’s a few things that kind of makes others a wash. We spent a lot in fuel for the car before going full time as I drove daily for work and some long distances. Thanks for your thoughts/feedback. 😊
Right...this gives people that don’t know what it costs to live full time in an RV something to go by. That’s why we were so open with our expenses. If you don’t have the payments, then all the better. We have not touched our savings after close to 1 1/2 years now. To each their own...we all know what we can and can not spend. There are ways to live this way even cheaper.
Thank you so much. What a great spreadsheet. I'm still "part-timing". After this Corona Virus situation passes, I will be making a decision as to going full-time. I am a single, retired Air Force Officer!

very good info, I don't know if you have a diesel card that could save you some money on it. anyways i just discovered yall and i def like how you presented this video. awesome keep on living the life my friends. take care.
Thank you Juan! 😊🤓 Got the card. 👍🏻 Thanks for asking! 😊 So glad to hear you liked the video! 🧡
Good video, interesting to see your expenses.
Thank you! It was interesting to us as well after we added it all up. 😮 Makes you really think about how fast it all adds up.
@@LivinRVision yes, I remember my Edward Jones guy had me fill out a wish list for retirement and I was amazed at how much I need to save to have that lifestyle.
Nice video, thanks for sharing your costs. So, have you decided what RV your going to get next?
Thank you! 😊🤓 No, but once we have a buyer for Vinny, I bet we find out really quickly! 😂
LivinRVision you have nice RV , hope it sells quickly & you can move on to your next adventure 😀
Thank you!
We are still a year out from hitting the road! Do you by chance have this spreadsheet available to us. I will tweek it to our needs, but I don't know where to start. Thanks a bunch!
We can send you a copy of you send us an email.
@@LivinRVision were you able to see my email? When I look back it’s blacked out.
Nothing yet. Nothing in junk folder either. :(
Great video
Thank you! 🧡😁🤓
Have you thought about selling the items that is in the storage unit ? It would save you $110 per month.
Oh of course, a lot to sell and no time to do it and a lot that we can’t sell. Someday we’ll get a home base park model or something.
Good vid ya'll.
Thank you! 😊🤓
Your cost is what me and my wife are thinking on budgeting around when we retire.
You can live very comfortably with that budget if using the Thousand Trails system OR cutting costs other ways. Hope you will be able to live that vision soon! 🧡😊🤓
Nice very nice.In Shouh Africa you take that totale and multiply by 17 thats how weak the Rand is.
Wow! We didn’t realize that, so we just Google searched and 18.80 Rand is equivalent to 1 us dollar. 😳 We hear South Africa is gorgeous though.
You guys are so pleasant 😍 I just love you guys...lol
Aww you are so sweet...thank you so much! 🧡😊🤓

You're very welcome. I'm not yet an RVer, but I can't wait to start. I started off watching all the "well known" couples, now I look forward to seeing yours more.
We get so excited when we hear about someone that is getting ready to start. It reminds us of when we started. SO exciting! 😊
@@LivinRVision
Yes..it's going to be another 2 years. Have to wait for hubby to retire. He works for New York City Transit so it's impossible to work on the road😟. It'll go by quick🤞. Thank you for your response.
Hope to meet you on the road. 💜💜
Interesting stuff!
Happy to hear! 😊🤓
Hello my first time....hi from Idaho.
Hello and WELCOME! 😊Brian & 🤓Michelle 🧡
Can I get a copy of the yearly expense spreadsheet?
We don’t use it anymore, but if you send us an email, We’ll try looking for it and send it to you once we locate it. 👍🏻😊🤓
Knowing what you know now, would you do it again and what would you have done different if you would still RV?
Great information! Did I hear correctly, you are selling your RV? Buying a new one maybe?
Yes, we are going to try to find a good home for Vinny first, then make the decision to buy something else. Maybe not new, just depends what is available when someone decides to adopt Vinny. 😊 We hope we don’t regret it, as Vinny has been so reliable. *knock on wood
So I did not notice which category car and health insurance and car registration and driver's license.
Either way, the spreadsheet gives everyone a good idea and they can add or subtract the expenses that they know they would have, especially those that are different for each of us, like health Ins, car registrations, RV registrations and drivers license(s) (which ours renews every 5 years).👍🏻😊🤓
Thank you.
You’re very welcome
Watching in 22 now diesel would be a huge cost
Thanks for the video. So, do you feel the Verizon jet pack was sufficient for internet service?
Anyway to get a copy of the budget spreadsheet?
Yes Al! Please send us an email or private message through our FB page and we will get it over to you! 😁🤓
Did I miss a line item for Medical Insurance?
Hi Bobby! We covered that when we made the reference “knock on wood”. 😊We do not have any medical expenses. We have insurance through Michelle’s employer for both of us.
Did you guys create the blank spreadsheet yourself or did you get it from someone?
Hi Terry, in the video we mentioned right upfront that we originally got the spreadsheet from Next Exit and then made some changes to our own liking.
Why didn’t RV place pay for hotel a cabin costs
They tried to offer us money for extra costs and our troubles ONLY if we would sign a release agreement. We would not sign the release.
Did you have any trouble with thousand trails during the pandemic?
No we didn’t. We were in FL at the time of the stay-in-place orders started. We were already at the Orlando Thousand Trails resort and they allowed us to stay past our regular 21 days at no cost. We ended up staying about 2 months there.
No problems since then either. We’ve been at a TT resort in AZ two different times and no issues.
Oh yah... a WallMart salon ... what could go wrong? LOL
😂🤣 right? 😱
Do pay health insurance? Or just taking a Chance
Yes, Michelle mentions in the video that our health insurance is through her employer.
Is Vinnie your Coach? What is it? Are you Leaving this life style?
Thousand Trails? Yes or no?
We have a link below in the description or you can find it on our website at www.LivinRVision.com/resources
We are here to help and this is one of the most important money saving things you can do for this lifestyle. Happy to help. 😊🤓
Hello
👋🏻😊🤓
How can I get a copy of your spreadsheet
You can either send us a message through our LivinRVision Facebook messenger or send us a message through our LivinRVision.com/contact.
be prepared to be shocked by your trade in value.....
Good luck.
Agree, It’s always best to sell yourself if you can. Same logic with a car as well. 👍🏻
currently?... soooo... a puppy? maybe a rabbit? Python?
😂 An alligator 🐊 because they shed less. 😉
LivinRVision OMG!! You win the Sass contest of the day.. I need to regroup! :-)
😂🤣😉
I think full time RV will never be much cheaper if you have almost $1200 worth of loan payments a month, that is what hurts the savings.
Are you retired or working from your RV?
Michelle works remote for the same company she did before we went full time and I work full time on the YT channel and all that goes with that.
Mrs please work on your voice.
You have tendency to drop volume and can be inaudible.
Thanks
Yes, I agree. I know I have a soft tone and need to work on speaking louder. I appreciate your feedback! 🤓Michelle 🧡
Thank you so much. What a great spreadsheet. I'm still "part-timing". After this Corona Virus situation passes, I will be making a decision as to going full-time. I am a single, retired Air Force Officer!
