I live on a limited budget, your reviews help me when I go to the craft store. It seems we have the same taste in yarn and your recommendations and your comments help me by yarn that is what I'm looking for. Like I said a limited budget so I don't buy yarn that will disappoint. I want to thank you these videos help a lot. Please don't stop doing them!
This is why it's so important to watch you show us new yarns and a sample crochet demonstration. I was liking it until I saw it snagging in breaking. Thank you so much, your demonstrations are so helpful!
Thank you for your honest reviews! It's nice to know i can trust what you say and it's never sugar coated to make some company happy. I appreciate what you do! Keep it up!
So glad you critiqued the Scarfie Lite, Crystal. I've had my eye on that yarn for a bit, but the price ($9.99) is a deal-killer for me right now. I love fuzzy yarns, so frogging is no big deal for me. I find that if I hold the stitches taught in one hand while I pull the yarn loose horizontally (in a direct opposite direction from the stitches in the row), it is much easier to frog. I've used regular Scarfie and love the finished product, but find that its wool texture makes it a bit rough on my fingers. I particularly love the way Scarfie turns out on a knitting loom. Thanks, Crystal.🤩
the price for the regular Scarfie Yarn I bought yesterday was 12.99 I bought 4. There was a buy 1 get the other 50%. I had a 20% off coupon and a $5 credit points. Still expensive 😱
I am currently working on a sweater with this yarn. You DO NOT want to make a mistake because it is hard to frog... not impossible but frustrating. So far I like working with it. It has a nice drape but it doesn't have a striping effect but the sweater is still going to be beautiful. I would also classify this as a very light 4 weight and almost a 3 weight. The halo effect is making a beautiful sweater.
Love Scarfie. Mine has 78%acrylic 22%wool. I make head bands scarfs gloves. Love the hallow of the new Scarfie. I crochet and knit with it. The colors are pretty💗😉🐑!
I've used regular scarfie, and love it. I really like the roving or single ply yarns because I can fly along without losing my rhythm from yarn splitting. Those colors you have there are gorgeous!
Good review Crystal. I still have to try some day because I love the color palette but I value your opinion. Good to see the yarn too. From the pics on the web I knew it had a halo but not that huge! I like fuzzy yarns but without the video I wouldn't have known it was that fuzzy! I agree the Scarfie name is misleading for sure.
I never used the regular Srarfie , because of the wool content . The price of $9.99 is to much , but the colors were pretty . Thank you , Crystal . Love and Hugs .
Super helpful information. Yarn purchasing can feel confusing enough without using the same name for a totally different product. I also can't work with smaller yarns so this would have been a big disappointment. You have such a straightforward but gentle way of speaking the truth.
I have used Scarfie! That sample you crocheted is beautiful! I think I wouldn’t get the Lite because of the trouble ripping out! Pricey too! Thanks as always for your very honest reviews! It helps!! Stay safe & much love! 💕🤗💕
I have used the regular Scarfie , I liked it okay. I am excited to try the thinner version. My favorite weight is a #3 or #4 . Loving the halo on it 🩷🩵 I often end up using a few four letter words while I relax and crochet 😶😬😁 I always appreciate your honesty 🩵
Thanks Crystal. I’m very familiar with the original Scarfie. I wasn’t even aware that this new line had been released. I appreciate you keeping us informed.
I just ordered one skein because I decided to try it and I loved the colors. With your review, I will definitely knit with it, not crochet. Thank you, I always appreciate your honesty.
Thanks for the review. I was excited at the beginning of the video for new Scarfie colors, but this appears not to be Scarfie fiber content. Thanks for honest review. I will pass on this one 😔.
I’m currently wearing a snood made form this exact yarn! Just finished item and I liked it a lot. It stripes well, and I love the random bursts of more vibrant color that come through. You are totally right about mistakes! The core of the yarn is very thin, and going back and fixing errors was almost impossible.
I really like the way you break down your scoring for the yarn. It gives me a very clear understanding of your evaluation. Would you say it's like Latte cakes at all??? I think Latte cakes yarn is slippery and I love the way it works up, but it is not terrible to pull out as long as it's not complicated/involved stitches
Love your reviews, it's honest. I had to look up the scarfie, I'm not well versed on lots of yarns, and I love the original one. You make me want tons of yarn. I appreciate how you show the weight, your opinion of the weight and a strand of yarn where we can actually see it.
I have used scarfie for several projects and have been happy with the results. I have not used the lite version. I will for future projects, just for fun. Thanks again, Crystal, for your honest review.
Have never used Scarfy. I don't like real fuzzy yarns for the very fact you stated, just have to pray you don't make a mistake. I generally heed your reviews, if you don't like I'm sure I won't either. Thank you for your honesty.
I Love scarfie yarn. I am making your Bird of Night shawl using the original scarfie yarn right now. It's a little harder to work with but that's ok and it's so soft.
Love the honesty and all of your tech knowledge. Thanks to you, I'm paying more attention to producers and brands. Since I don't have experience with Scarfie (that I know of), I do need to say, I love thin yarn and haloed yarn., but again appreciate your extensive background!
I love Scarfie yarn, especially for cardigans. Thank you for your honest review. I do value your opinion. I liked it until you frogged it. Then it was a no for me. I rarely do a project from start to finish without having to frog something, and of a yarn is already showing it will tangle, I pass. Be safe.
I'm glad you gave an honest review. Yarn is a very expensive commodity and we can't afford to buy yarn thinking it's as good as the original only to be disappointed and out of pocket. Honesty is the best policy and we won't hold it against you👌
It looks lovely but trying to frog it would be a nightmare. I’ve only used the regular scarfie. Thank you so much Crystal for your honesty regarding your reviews!
I have a shawl that I knit out of the Scarfie Cranberry/Black and a black, whose maker I can't remember, that I just love. I totally agree that they should have given it a different name. Imo, it was an underhanded thing for them to do. It just burns me up when well-liked brands do these kinds of things. As you said, it was a good thing you had points to use.
Crystal, I am glad that you checked out the Sçarfy Lite for us. It looks beautiful as far as the colors go, but looked like trouble as far as crocheting goes? Thank You Very Much, Hugs Renae
I love this yarn! I know it's a pain if you need to undo any stitches, but it works up beautifully when you finish your project. I take care when working with it so that I don't need to undo a lot of stitches.
Thank you Crystal for a wonderful review. 💕 I've never tried Scarfie because of the wool but I really enjoyed your review. I agree with you, Lion Brand really messed up. They created a bait and switch situation with the new yarn hoping to get people to try it, despite the differences. I personally love roving and fuzzy yarns. I just don't use a fancy stitch with the fuzzy and pull opposite the stitch for frogging. I've also worked out a system for slippery yarn. But almost $10 is much to much for me to pay for yarn, even as pretty as it is. Bless you Crystal 🍀
Totally agree with your assessment. Just so happened I came home with an original Scarfie today, and this 'new' yarn is nothing like it. Thanks Crystal, I am sticking with the original.
THANK YOU for doing this review! I have not used the regular scarfie but I have had my eyes on this and the regular. It is a very beautiful color that you have. I really appreciate your honesty on this! This would make a gorgeous sweater, but that price of $9.99 amd higher... It has definitely held Me back from purchasing the regular and lite.
I love regular scarfie, I have yet to buy or try the new lite scarfie. I really like the colors of the lite scarfie. I hope to try it some time soon. I am hoping they get it in stores soon so I can feel it and buy it using coupons. Thanks for sharing with us.
I’m so happy you reviewed this yarn. I saw it on the LionBrand website and I said the same thing. I totally agree with you. That’s nothing like the original and I’m not a fan of the blotchy colors also. Your opinion does matter and now I know to stay away from this yarn. Thank you for a honest review ❤❤🧶🧶
Haven't used regular scarfie, but I may give it a go for something different. The newer one looks like a mess to use, lol. I appreciate your honest opinions and reviews about yarn. Your videos are always fun to watch.
I've never used Scarfie before. I am still learning all the new yarns out there. I was surprised as I came back into the world of yarn and saw how much is out there. This you are showing looks pretty and like it's really soft. I think you are giving a very accurate assessment of this yarn. I don't enjoy using yarns with halos as they always get hung up. They are beautiful, but just not my favorite.
I just finished a granny lapghan with Scarfie Lite. I agree with you that it is not like the original Scarfie. It for sure does not stripe with crochet. It's variegated with crochet. It is difficult to frog which is why I chose granny, I'm less likely to make a mistake. I do love the yarn. if you continue to work with it is a roving style going from a 1 to 4 weight. I'm not sure if it is supposed to rove or not, it noticably does though. Maybe mine is not right, one of my skeins weighed a lot less than the other 4. Lion Brand did give my money back for the light skein. But you are right, it's not Scarfie, it doesn't even have the same fiber types. ☺️🧶💕🧶
Thank you so much for your reviews Crystals, they are so helpful. I especially like that you share where they are made. I used to love that lionbrand made some of the yarns in the USA but now they changed. I really try to stay away from yarns made in China.
LOL...."may be sayin 4 letter words" 😉You're not wrong. I've said 4 letter words trying to unravel similar yarns LOLOL 😂👍💖
Me doing child beanie with mohair yarn, lol! 4 letter word!
@@tiva615 Good Luck! I hope you get through the rest of your project without incident 😁👍
@@kimberlyaustin6677 thx! I'm gonna need it! Lol

Always honest & valuable reviews
Love the original Scarfie. No sale, Lion Brand. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Stay safe and well.
This is why it's so important to watch you show us new yarns and a sample crochet demonstration. I was liking it until I saw it snagging in breaking. Thank you so much, your demonstrations are so helpful!
I love Scarfie!! I'm so glad you did this review. I thought it looked different on the website than the regular. Thank you for your honesty!
Thank you for your honest reviews! It's nice to know i can trust what you say and it's never sugar coated to make some company happy. I appreciate what you do! Keep it up!

That's what I don't want. It's like home spun a nightmare to 🐸 🐸 frog.

Pretty. I’d buy that. Like the colour too. I want to make a cable headband with it. Knitted.
HI Crystal
From what you are showing me,I like the regular Scarfie yarn 🧶 I like the 2 colour from the original Scarfie for my self .
I've used regular scarfie, and love it. I really like the roving or single ply yarns because I can fly along without losing my rhythm from yarn splitting. Those colors you have there are gorgeous!

I appreciate your honest yarn reviews, you always consider all aspects of the yarn in your evaluations. Thanks!!
OMG you made me laugh so hard I had to show it to my family! Thank you for all you do and your ability to lift up.... 💖💖💖💖💖
Thank you for your opinion Crystal!!! I really enjoy your take on yarn.
Super helpful information. Yarn purchasing can feel confusing enough without using the same name for a totally different product. I also can't work with smaller yarns so this would have been a big disappointment. You have such a straightforward but gentle way of speaking the truth.
Thanks so much for the review! Appreciate listening to your opinion❤
Appreciate your reviews. They are always spot on! Love Scarfie original.
I love scarfie yarn. I have used it quite a bit. The light is pretty.
Thanks for your honest opinion on this yarn…great review!! 🧶
I love how you love yarn. Your excitement in getting and opening new yarn is wonderful!
Loving the halo on it 🩷🩵
I often end up using a few four letter words while I relax and crochet 😶😬😁
I always appreciate your honesty 🩵
Thank you for your review.. There is no one’s opinion I value more than yours. Take care my friend.😊
Thanks Crystal. I’m very familiar with the original Scarfie. I wasn’t even aware that this new line had been released. I appreciate you keeping us informed.
I love your reviews. You’re honest and give your opinion which I appreciate ❤
I just ordered one skein because I decided to try it and I loved the colors. With your review, I will definitely knit with it, not crochet. Thank you, I always appreciate your honesty.
Definitely appreciate your opinion. I have never tried the original scarfie, mostly because of price. I do like there colors.
I love scarfie! That lite is definitely thinner, more of a 3 than 4, imo. Too pricey. Pretty colors! Ty Crystal! 💖💖💖
I for one value your yarn opinions. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Very much appreciated!
Thanks for the review. I was excited at the beginning of the video for new Scarfie colors, but this appears not to be Scarfie fiber content. Thanks for honest review. I will pass on this one 😔.
Hi Crystal. I have never used Scarfie yarn. I will try it if I see some at the store. Really enjoy your videos
Your sample was gorgeous. You're an enabler even when you're not trying. LOLZ Love everything you do. Thank you for all the wonderful videos
Thank you for showing us this. Makes it so much easier to purchase yarn online.
I have heard others talk about Scarfie but I have not used it before. I do love those colors, and it does look soft.
I love that you give a review that's is truthful in your opinion, thank you
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this yarn. BTW I enjoyed Bod Life video. Snow was so pretty.

Love the og Scarfie thanks for always telling us about yarn. You are always spot on and I agree with you on the yarns you like
I love regular Scarfie! I have made scarves with it. And plan to make more....
Your review is spot on
Great review. I am still going to try it because I love the colors. I think it will make a beautiful sweater, blanket or scarf.
I have used a lot of scarfy yarn and very much enjoy using it. This new lighter yarn is very pretty.
I have used scarfie for several projects and have been happy with the results. I have not used the lite version. I will for future projects, just for fun. Thanks again, Crystal, for your honest review.
I love lion brand scarfie. This looks like something that I’d have to think long and hard about before buying. It is beautiful though.
Beautiful colors. I have never used it before but may try it.
Thank you for the yarn review. I appreciate your input! 👍🌈💗
Have never used Scarfy. I don't like real fuzzy yarns for the very fact you stated, just have to pray you don't make a mistake. I generally heed your reviews, if you don't like I'm sure I won't either. Thank you for your honesty.
I've had yarn like that so I make sure I don't have to frog it. Loved the colors

It's beautiful and soft looking yarn.
I am so glad you did this review.... I was curious about that one and I think I can pass on it. Thank you so much for sharing
I love you. You are always telling me something I need to know. I've seen CYC but had no idea what it was. Thanks bunches.
Great review. I really appreciate them. It helps us make informed decisions
I have not used scarfie yet, but I do have some on my shelf to try.thank you Crystal.
Never used it yet, thank you Crystal for your honest opinion.
The colors are pretty but I can't handle that much fuzziness. So glad you reviewed this yarn.
I love Scarfie yarn, especially for cardigans. Thank you for your honest review. I do value your opinion. I liked it until you frogged it. Then it was a no for me. Love the colors! Looks really soft!!!
I love regular scarfie. I hadn't seen this. Glad you did this .
I love scarfie yarn. I am sure I will love this new one also.
Hi Crystal. Thank you for your honesty. I’m sure it’s something I wouldn’t buy, I’m not a fan of halo yarn. But I do love the colors.
Like the new colors. I like tweed effects when changing colors
I have a shawl that I knit out of the Scarfie Cranberry/Black and a black, whose maker I can't remember, that I just love. I totally agree that they should have given it a different name. I tried using a 6 mm and didn't like the look. I use a 5 mm it looks much better with the finished project.
I made a sweater out of the ordinary scarfie yarn. I love it.
You are honest but kind! Thank you!
I love your true honest opinions Crystal! Pretty colors though. I guess we just can’t think of it as Scarfie!
Thank you Crystal for a wonderful review. 💕 I've never tried Scarfie because of the wool but I really enjoyed your review. I agree with you, Lion Brand really messed up. I loved the Scarfie was so sad when discontinued. Good to hear there is new Scarfie
I totally agree . I love Scafie yarn and this isn't close. Thanks for sharing!

Have been known to bless frogging attempts myself from time to time. Great review Crystal loved it.
I love the regular scarfie. After seeing this yarn it's a no go for me too. Thanks for showing us this yarn. Love you Crystal!!!
Thank you so much for your reviews Crystals, they are so helpful. I especially like that you share where they are made. I used to love that lionbrand made some of the yarns in the USA but now they changed.
I really try to stay away from yarns made in China.
Thanks for the honest review Crystal!
