@@betaich It has petrol engine. There is no Toyota 4 Runner in the US with diesel engine. The diesel engine is not popular in the US, particularly after the VW engine scandal. You can find diesel engine only the in much bigger Heavy Duty truck.
Any chance you'd be willing to make a brief video of the process for taking a firearm through Canada? You've mentioned you had one with you on your journey, but some info on your experience with the process would be great. Thank you!
it is really nice to see your daughter entertaining herself with art work. I can tell you as kids ourselves 55 years ago that's what we did in the back seat of Dads car while traveling west to Manitoba and Northern Sask. Brings back fond memories.
I hope you guys understand how many people you’ve inspired to get out and travel like the three of you are doing, Because a decade can pass by within a blink of an eye and moments like you guys are making will last a life time!
So much overlanding material is saturated with equipment details, but you have found a much healthier balance. It's nice to know your setup, but once established the only thing remaining is story, and you have found a way to tell yours. Nicely done.
Love Your Videos!! The editing, music, and drone shots are incredible! As a Father of two, now 18yr old daughter and 16yr old son, I can say without a doubt that these times with your daughter are incredible. You will remember them forever and so will she.
She’s adorable, my wife was fortunate to travel with her parents when she was young about the same age as your daughter and now that we are in our 60’s we plan on doing it all over again... you have done a great thing taking your daughter on your advanture today
My wife and I are close to retiring and starting our bucket list journey. We love watching your families adventures and the way you care for each other. I wish I could run that fast again. Maybe someday. Please be careful and travel safe. Thank you so much for sharing. Ward and Ellen
Worst part about this, is having to wait until the next episode. Wish it was like Netflix, where I could binge watch the entire season, because Lord knows i'd binge watch the heck out of your adventures. I'm doing this same trip myself (and my 2 daughters) starting late May, after they get out of school. We won't be having a trailer though, ground tent, and everything in, or on the truck. Gonna be a hell of an adventure! Keep these videos comin', can't wait 'til the next installment.
Hope your adventure goes great . Make sure you bring bear spray , insect repellent , pop up screen house , mosquito netting , fire arm for protection from wild life . Have a safe trip & enjoy the journey . Cheers !
As i sit in Whitehorse waiting for summer when i can also travel again, i am loving these videos of my beloved North. Very well done and the narration is superb.
Great Video. I know all those places by heart. My first year at PS5 I put close to 50,000 miles on my work truck. I drove this for 15 years doing communications work. I also did a lot of helicopter work along it. I have many pictures taken from the same place but different seasons. I think there are really only three seasons. Winter summer and fall along this road. In my 41 years in Alaska over a third were north of the Arctic Circle. I agree with you on the gravel pavement and I also have hit then hard in a Ford Excursion. One time in the winter I was up just before climbing the pass a wolf came out and chased the truck like a dog. I was dumbo for the camera and only ended up with a photo of his head as he decided to stop and head off the road. Many stories.
@@scriptchild6743 You should be ashamed of yourself for your comment. For someone to infer 'pedo' to someone's reply is despicable. Internet muscles...
no such thing as overkill when up in the far north country, traveling these roads brings a hole new meaning to lets get a little mud on the tires, thanks for sharing
absolutely love the music, and the wildlife pics! The travel insight is really appreciated, and the neat info, like that from the visitor's center, is just great! Almost in tears, wishing I could have ridden along.

Very Nice. You have an Enduring Family. Another issue with gas stations is power outages, they may have fuel but no power to pump with. This happened to me. Safe Travels!
Awesome video guys!! As my bucket list of places to see expands, so does my spotify playlist!! Great combination of adventure and music!! Thanks for sharing!!
it was a great feeling to watch all these videos .. I love nature visiting places.. soon will start camping culture.. do post trips more n more.. I like your songs .. they are all good.. seems lot of good amount of time spend on all of these..
What beautiful landscape you guys got to travel through. Super cool shots! Taking notes over here for when we plan an AK trip. 😄 Another awesome episode.
Living in Fairbanks, I’ve driven the Dalton, and I never understood why they paved the most random places of that road. Though I’ve only been to Proudhoe and back once, I’ve driven to the Yukon River & up to the Arctic Circle numerous times. I love living here, and thanks for sharing what I consider my back yard with the rest of the world. PS. Anyone wanting to drive the Dalton, Northern Alaska Tour Company has vehicles that they rent that you can take up to Proudhoe, and you can fuel up at Yukon River Camp & Coldfoot Camp.
Enjoying your trip on the the Dalton! We did the drive as part of our Alaska Adventure in 2017. We drove the Dalton June 27-30th. Except for a few sprinkles south of Deadhorse, it was rain and snow free! We camped in Galbraith Lake on our way back down. Our BF Goodrich tires performed flawlessly. Never a flat or loss of air in over 10,000 miles! A bit smaller that yours, 205 60 13! Check out my videos of our Dalton Highway Adventure, along with the get rest of our Alaska trip!
You need a diesel heater for your tent and you can split the heat tube with dryer vent hose to a Annex. Best decision I ever made. Tent never goes away wet with that kind of dry heat. The self contained one I found works best and you can run it at night while you sleep without worry of co poison
So very well done - each and every episode makes me want more and also makes me feel like I'm in the truck with you!! Your cinema style is so refined and storytelling very engaging. The opening sequence with the drone footage is REALLY amazing - some of those pan/pull/orbit shots are truly impressive!! WOW!!!!
Re the Dalton and the sealed vs unsealed roads. Here in Australia they are digging up lots of outback roads and going back to the dirt roads, as it costs less to maintain and doesn’t end up full of potholes.
Good morning from Needles, CA. That was superb footage....Needles highway down here is close to the California version of parts of the Dalton...LOL....Press on...be safe, and happy trails.
I see a time or two you needed to hose the mud, I just bought a small 4 stroke honda gas water pump for my travels I can not only hose down my travel trailer and truck but with the right stream I can fill the trailer it uses a garden hose. Anyway enjoy
Cool to see all the places I missed because they were closed when I went through in October. Luckily Alaska DOT is ripping up some of the pavement so hopefully it will be a less jarring ride. Down side is I watched a fully loaded B train sink into the road surface, A-DOT came along and pulled it out with their D10 dozer.
I have seen snow in Nevada in June. But that was early June which is considerably cooler than August. And this was in the mountains by the Idaho border.
Loved this one! You music choices are just amazing. I often Shazam while watching...hahaha. Sorry to hear you all didn't make it to the AVL Overland meetup. Hope the flooding didn't cause too much damage.
Love your videos. But have 1 criticism. Could you start listing the month and year in the video? This one was obvious it was August, but for places like Alaska it would help future visitors a ton if they knew what to expect for weather. Also, Worx makes a cordless pressure washer. Check it out. It works good for cleaning the mud off. It has a built in water pump & hose, just park close to a water source. It isn't nearly as good as a gas unit, but it takes up a small amount of room and would work great for cleaning the mud off your door handles.
Welcome to the show! Please silence your cell phones and air-down to the optimal air-pressure... let's roll!
Lol funny
