Everybody detest the action of this animal… But we can’t stop the world. With your skill and talents you make beautiful things as apposed to the action of this animal and the grief that the families are feeling. You bring your beautiful work to those of us that are still going on with our lives with sorrow in our hearts.
Big feelings is a perfect expression of what many of us are feeling. It seems there has been some sort of shift in humanity recently. Our babies are under attack in multiple ways, like never before, and it's painful to witness. I had to say an early (but temporary goodbye) to my beloved adult daughter (to cancer) and yet I find it hard to imagine what the parents of these precious children are going through right now. My daughter was a teacher and I always worried about school shootings. She would have been one protecting her students as best she could - I know that for sure. It is really heartbreaking. Thanks for the diversion. I really like this idea and the possibilities are endless as far as the design goes. I'm starting to use more vinyl and might try black with the natural cork underneath. I like your random geometric quilting design too. I used to ZenTangle free motion quilt which has a cool effect, but probably not suitable for this application. But you have me thinking. Thanks again.

Funny (not haha), I’m up late as I’m trying to settle my mind after yet another school shooting (this is March 2023, mind you) in Tenn. Three babies won’t go home. Three faculty members who went to work, never to return. I decided to do a deeper dive into my cork addiction and what a surprise when I listen to your intro/opening and complete raw emotions for lack of better words over I’m not even sure which shooting last spring - Buffalo, Uvalde, ??? There are no more thoughts and prayers to be given. Having lost an adult child to drug addiction, I know this pain intimately. Believe it or not, there are worse scenarios to lose a loved one - different degrees of death. And these random shootings - murdering of our children, friends, parents, siblings - is so damned unnerving. Sorry to vent or share these raw emotions on yet the eve of another day of school shootings here in the US. Thanks for creating a safe space where we can step away from the insanity that is our country and its attachment to these weapons to a more beautiful and kind place.

I don’t see why you couldn’t just appliqué like normal? Use raw edge textile and sew it on the fabric.
