This zoo is okay, nothing more nothing less. I've been to much better and bigger zoos. I didn't realize this zoo was going to be as small as it was and thought the ticket price was rather high for this kind of zoo. The gift shop prices are VERY high too. I liked quite a few things in there and the prices were just crazy. I've been to a lot of zoos and attractions in general and some of those prices were just nuts.
I’ve been to a lot of zoos and this has to be by far the worst when it comes to enclosure size and keeping the animals entertained. Felt so bad for the otters. Please be honest in your reviews so we can inspire change when necessary.
I am honest in my reviews. The enclosure for the giant otters was of similar size to other enclosures for giant otters, the enclosure was on two sides of a bridge so it was difficult to show the entire scope of it.
I agree. The animals looked bored and I saw little to no enrichment activities. Where are the zookeepers? I am in Birmingham, just a few miles from this zoo, but haven't been since I just moved here a couple of months ago.
When I was young I went to one of the nearby elementary schools and I remember taking field trips to that zoo one of my favorite places

2:55 was that exhibit signed as if it was supposed to be for coyotes? Or was that just a wild coyote that got himself stuck in there?
