Great job with the video, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this battle again, but why such biased comments and a click bait title? It's uncalled for. Mansell had the better tyre, Senna lost a ton of time behind Patrese all race long, and then got blocked by the backmarker who decided to lift up on corner exit. One race win doesn't amount to a hill of beans. Senna still went on to win the title. Senna reaction to Mansell's overtake behind the back marker was proof of his greatness. The difference between the Good and the Great is knowing when to Go and knowing when to Wait. Senna instinctively knew to back out of the move and live to fight another day, going on to win the title.

This is what Al Unser Jr used to do in Indycars. Never thought about qualifying, but spent more time working on his race set-up than anyone else. The result? Always quick over long runs on a full tank of fuel. Mansell was a brilliant racer and fighter, but he wasn't particularly clever behind the scenes. He didn't learn Italian before going to Ferrari, and handled all technical matters in English. He was also not a strong politician - and it's relationships with mechanics, management, sponsors, officials, etc, that could really make the difference. Prost and Senna (and also Stewart) understood that you had to be a winner everywhere, not just in the cockpit.
Mansell was unfortunately lazy in testing , and was prone to blaming the team went things went wrong. I have never seen a driver who had a problem with almost every teammate he had.
