On average, 4,000 people die every year. That's why I was so excited to see a new landmine detector being developed at the Technology Innovation Institute in Abu Dhabi.

The causes of this probably happened by the past war, for example the Germany in WW2 put landmine at Omaha beach to make the allies struggle to penetrate the axis defenses.

This is a great invention! Will help civilians to find leftover mines from 30-50 years ago and military during combat heavily

Not sure of other countries, but in India there are no mines in human inhabitant places, as we are peace loving country, and we are not into war. Yes mines are in militant infected zones, terrorist plant them, but mines are not found across India, you can check your sources..
