- We are having a bit of fun in the garden today because it’s our Ruby Wedding Anniversary and Richard and I are celebrating 40 years of marriage!!
We met on 23rd October 1976 when I was 14 and Richard was 15 and we have been together ever since.
We got married on 6th June 1981 aged 18 and 20 and today we are inviting you all along to our little celebration BBQ.
Richard will tell you he’s been happily married for 5 years! Always the joker but that’s why I love him 😍
I have a lovely friend Juliet - we work together at our school - and her husband Alan sent us a beautiful rose called the “Ruby Wedding 40th Anniversary Floribunda Bush Rose” which grows up to 3ft tall and 2ft wide. It was a total surprise as I didn’t realise she knew it was our anniversary. So lovely and thoughtful of her and so I’m planting it today wearing my headress and veil - I would have put my wedding dress on too but alas it no longer fits 🤣
