The stories of drug, sex and violence does happen, but happens if you are looking for it. I've never done any of those in a club. The only thing that has happened to me is that I've danced (including grinding) with willing women, kissed a few of them and got a few phone numbers and found two relationships. If that means hedonism to you, then yes, maybe clubs are not for you.
