Not all keystams are the same. Logitech uses Romer-G keys witch have a square hole in witch the keycap go into. This is for better light-defusion. The led shines directly fron the center of the key(stam) on to the top of the key.
Thank you, Frans. We were actually mentioning the Cherry MX styled switches in that part, they are pretty much very similar between them. Romer-G's are proprietary, so we can't consider them that similar to Cherry MX styled ones 🤔

When buying keycaps, you have to check if the bottom insertions is cross-shaped. In this case, the Apex 5 has mechanical swithches iwht standard Mx stem, so most sets witll fit in

Hi chute, For what we've been able to see, the Apex 5 mounts keycaps with the standard Mx stem. There's one thing you can do: ask the Steelseries customer support department if the "Prismcaps" (keycaps Steelseries sell) are compatible with the keyboard. If the answer is yes, the keyboard mounts standard keycaps. How do I know it? I'm using one of those sets at the momment 😅 If you can't mount those keycaps, then the stem is not standard.

As long as they have the stem, they will fit. Cherry profile keycaps are compatible with MX stem, which is quite universal. Most keycaps are compatible with MX stems.
I have a question at 3:18 the key caps are see through with the letters. I want these but I’m not sure their proper name. I don’t want them fully transparent but u want to have my rgb shine through. If there’s a specific name that would be awesome
I'm not sure what I want given my recent discovery of linear switches on my new cheapo keeb, but I _assume_ that I want a medium to high profile sculpted spherical keycap set. And for OCD's sake I want the sculpt to be continuous with no repeated rows, though that's much less important, especially if it ends up with me only having 1 or 2 very expensive choices to select. My current main keeb (HAVIT KB487L, it's an "80%" with a minimal numpad instead of the special functions keys) isn't backlit, but I feel like my engame one will be. I should probably save by not worrying about shine through or "pudding" keycaps for now, huh? My 60% previous daily is backlit (single color) and I also wanna try new caps on it. Any recommendations?
Hi Drunken Hamster, Probably the KAT profile is the one that better matches the description you've given. But those are hard to find and pretty expensive sets. The runner-up in the race is the OEM, which is the most popular for a good reason 😉
You probably have Kailh Box switches. Those also have a square frame around the cross-normal Cherry MX stem design. That's okay, they will still fit all keycaps and everything 😋
You might want to look for a set of just WASD keys. They are widely available and you can get them in different colors and materials so they stand out 😊

Hello there! If you purchased keycaps for mechanical keyboard and you have one, there should be no problem. What you have to look at is the inner shape of the key and see if it matches the switches.

You'll be fine as long as you buy OEM keycaps from them. For what we've been able to see, they also sell Cherry, XDA, low profile and their own XVX profile. So, as long as you buy OEM keycaps from them, they should be compatible with your current OEM 🙂

All those profiles are for mechanichal keycaps with switches with the cross stem. For what I've seen, your keyboard is a membrane one, so the keys won't probably fit, sorry.
Not really, the return force is determined by the switch's spring. What keycaps change is the way you put the hands on the keyboard and how you reach them. And, of course, the sound as you mentioned. Besides, since keycaps can be made of different materials, the feel might change. But the biggest difference keycaps make is the position of the fingers
If your switches are not Cherry branded, that's not a problem. Mechanical keyboard's keycaps mount the "Cherry stem" which os compatible with almost any model of mechanical switches you can find in the market, from all brands, not only cherry. The "cherry stem" is the expression we use to describe switches with a cross shaped stem. I think Dominique explains it better than I did on 1:48 😅
Hi there Orlando! Yes, it will fit in. 100% keyboards simply have more keys than 60%, but the keys are the same. The only thing you have to make sure is that the spacebar fits, but any 100% set will work for your keyboard.
Theoretically, you can. You have to check if the bottom row matches the one you have in the keyboard you have. Also make sure to get them in the same layout you have in your keeb. Besides that, the CSA is sculpted and XDA is a flat profile (all keys have the same size, no matter where they are), there should be some differences but I believe they would be compatible. 🤔

Hi there! Yes you can. The TTC have the standard cross-shaped MX stem, which makes it compatible with all Mx compatible keycaps, which are the vast majority. You might get confused by that box the stem has around it, but no worries, that's there in place to prevent the dust from entering the switch, it does not affect how it connects to the keycap.

As long as you're buying keycaps for a mechanical keyboard, you'll probably be safe. In either case, check the bottom of the keycap, it it's cross-shaped, it's good to be used on a mechanical keyboard.

Probably your keycaps are for low profile switches and not normal switches. Look for keycaps for low profiles switches and see if the look alike.

ISO is really harder to find, ANSI is way easier. I've found some from Akko available in ANSI + ISO formats.
