Did you do anything about the oil feed gallery between the block and the head for the rocker shaft? The drilling on a 998 block doesn’t always come out in exactly the right place compared to the 1275 head, take the rocker cover off and make sure there’s oil getting up there when the engines running.
I was wondering if anyone would notice that! 😅 it’s attached to the breather and vents down to the wheel arch. It’s the only hose the correct size I had laying around and I wanted to see if it would cut down on fumes in the cabin. A catch can would be a good addition.
Not sure if I heard you mention but use the 1275 head gasket when doing this.

Absolutely! Lots more top end where it’s breathing better now. I did have to swap to a richer needle in the carb to match the extra airflow
