Great job on the videos, I've just built my first iSpindel and I'm looking forward to monitoring my first brew without having to keep opening my fermentation bucket. Do you think all the foam on top of the brew has a significant effect on the iSpindel readings ( do I have to keep opening the lid to clean the iSpindel or is it OK to leave it till finished?)?

It's a Shane there is no way to offset the temperature probe to adjust for any slight error in temp
On the iSpindel no. But on ubidots I believe you can add a formula to the temp reading adjusting it.

Yes the krausen (beer foam) will affect the reading. Just take a reading before fermentation starts and you should be good to go.
