How to Fix issue with account removal on Messenger and facebook App

- Ever tried removing facebook account on messenger and you see a message like This account is also logged into Facebook on this device. you'll need to log out of this account on Facebook to remove the account. well this is very common issue lately as it does not allow users to remove accounts from messenger even after the account is removed on facebook, i will show you what happens and also how to fix the issue of removing an account from messenger successfully although this is not very quick but it worked perfectly well so make sure you watch the video to the end and leave a question when confused.

@@TSTechTalk me too, got to stage i even deactivated hobby page and hobby page messenger, yet still i couldnt get rid of it from linked accounts on messenger lol im sure searching and trying gave me a fair few grey hairs with the stress lol

@@TSTechTalk not your fault lol, fb at its best making things hard for people lol (too scared to lose the "users" i guess lol) i tried lots to get rid but this was only solution that actually worked, i was tearing hair out "wtf im not logged in, im not logged in fgs" lol ty again :)

In short, go to your phone Settings>Facebook> delete the account. Then Messenger>Delete the account.
Worked for me.

Thank you so much, my problems has been solved.
But actually, I didn't follow your guiding.
When I accessed the Account and Backup, I just selected each Facebook and Messenger account and REMOVE them directly, then go to apps info and deleted the cach memory.
No need to do anything in the browser
i tried that too and it didnt work for me (including deleting data & uninstalling and reinstalling messenger) and so might not work for many others. The above method will definitely fix the problem though :)

Didn't reply to your comment because its same thing I did in the video but you don't actually know what I did in the video. When trying to remove an account you need to see the name and that's what you need to do in the browser since the account displayed are on alpha numeric and also the steps you did can also remove some info that is backup on the device. But since you preferred this step, is fine 🙂 so far it worked for you.

I did all this I even deleted my account permanently deleted all accounts and uninstall my messenger app and download it again ... I still can't delete 1 account which I deleted already permanently??

Took me a over a week to remove a different account from fb messenger that wasn't mine. I had let someone log into fb messenger and fb from my phone.
But then day's later I realised they're account while logged out. Was still in my fb messenger with remove account not working!
Finally got it removed by phone settings and the 15 digit number was in user & accounts. Along with a fb symbol. Clicked remove account and it then let me remove it in the fb messenger settings 🙏🏾
