She fully knows the trades and definitely did not cut him a big enough check; though in all actuality, this was a free promotion that she did not plan. But they could’ve set it up so that he could make money for promoting their product after the fact.

That’s why youtubers and bundles and a check which still doesn’t equate to how much the company makes off the promo video!
Nice to see at least one person gets the question. The situation here however is that there was no foreseeing this man going viral, even he wasn't expecting it, and he didn't appear to have a large following. If they had paid him with what he was bringing, he would have probably made less than $1000 with everything considered, and he wouldn't be entitled to anything else, even from the $11m when he went viral. The point is, even if you get paid to advertise a product, unless there's some sort of deal, it can still feel unfair.
