The difficulty is adding the LEGO Technic plus axle motor to the LEGO Bricks system without using Technic parts. If anyone knows of a LEGO Brick with a plus , or X hole in it that will attach to the red motor axle and to a LEGO baseplate; I would be interested to know of it. Of course we could 3D print a part to do that. But is there a brick made that fits on the red motor and connects to a LEGO baseplate ?

If you did not want to drill the actual base-plate could you attach a brace with suitable sized holes to the underside of the base-plate instead?

Yes, Very good point. The underside of the baseplate has receiver holes of 5 mm size. But they are shallow. Even half-pins would not secure a brace. One could use bricks which we have and can buy for 48 pack at $1.25, various numbers of studs. So, I will try your idea and see if I can make it secure and stable without a hole drilled. The shaft of the red pin on the motor must be well secured. Thanks for the offered idea ! (ps, I'm now printing a stand-up-paddle board with studs for a dog to ride on the bow and the red-headed girl to do the paddling. --- could be a kitty astern. R.P. ?)
