I'mma just throw some pancakes advice your way cause I struggled for years and I finally discovered the secret. keep the stove on low. that's actually it. when it's any higher parts of the pancake cook faster than others and that's when you get the burnt lines and patterns and stuff , the low setting will give you beautiful pancakes.
sam owens yes also don't flip until you see the batter bubbling on the top. And don't butter the pan. Butter burns too fast. If you have a non stick pan and oil in the batter and you're not cooking on high heat you don't need to grease the pan.
