I got the Capri Metric 3/8 Semi-Deep when they first came out and I like them alot, but the Only thing I wish they did was to Stamp the Capri Logo! I started buying Capri just because of the Color. LoL! My Ideal Impact Socket would be USA made, but I can't see paying $200+ for a couple sockets that are pretty much Consumables! 🔨👍😁👍🔧
I have never bought Capri tools. Im stocking my home cart as we speak. So far Tekton is my front runner. That Matco ratchet is my go to , never had the problem you are having.
I had the same issue with 2 3/8 matco ratchets. An all chrome 12" and a blue handle 15". Thought it would get better with use but it didnt. Had both heads changed and issue persisted so my dealer just swapped them both out. Great tool haul.
You hated the numbering system, yet you went and got another set! Have you ever checked out any Tekton brand stuff? I find them to be great quality for the price. They're my favorite ratcheting wrenches because of their 6 point instead of 12 point wrenches. Check out their stuff sometime.

My first set of mids were Craftsman chrome, mids became my goto very quickly after that. They have held up well, no complaints.

You can use spray foam in the bottom of the plastic tray to sturdy it up. Then just shave it off flush once it dries.
