- The Indore Metro is a rapid transit system which is under construction for the city of Indore, in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. The total system consists of 11 corridors (lines) covering a distance of 124 kilometres (77 mi). This project will cost approximately ₹12,000 crore (US$1.5 billion).[1] The cost per km will be 182 crores and total cost is 15,000 crores. The metro system will be elevated, underground and on ground.[2] The Indore Metro project has been subject to serious contestation due to the inappropriate shifting of Seismic zone-II to Seismic zone-IV category which has led to increase in budgetary cost for the entire project

Thanks for the complement but I believe that work in Surat metro is faster as the underground section is complete, and here in Indore it feels as if it would take 6 more months just to invite tenders for underground section 😅.

Government/CM Madhya Pradesh: Radisson Square Chowk, Medgdoot Gardens, Luv Kush Chowk etc. needs a skywalk. This will promote tourism and cater to the needs of the local people. These are interesting places. Thanks for the update Master Rajan Singh, all the best brother. I also noticed that there are lots of buildings that have roof top solar modules/panels installed, that is excellent news. Government must encourage more roof top solar installations.

Karnataka government not able to generate revenue now, so they are increasing taxes which is totally affecting to middle class tax payers. 😂

No it does not need it right now. In urban planning the cities are expanded horizontally, than if the area is not there then the need for vertical expansion arises. Look at cities in USA, only newyork and some cities have skyscrappers. other cities does not. We already have mumbai for that. Indore need trees and a lots of trees, dust and heat is turning that city into desert.
I saw this metro project while visiting Indore. I hope this metro succeeds. Because metro succeeds only in high density population areas. This metro runs through open empty areas towards the airport. Maybe infrastructure first and population increase later .
Squares look more advance & beautiful compare to roundabouts 😂😂
But in roundabout never stop flow of traffic
I have one suggestion if you (MP citizens) don't mind please change the sign boards in a similar design, that will give a good look I think, like Ayodhya or Lal Chowk shops

All the stations are in almost similar stages of construction. I am not sure why they didn't start the works of few stations earlier.. it would have made the track continuous and trisl runs could have been conducted earlier for few stretches earlier than the rest. As it is a new metro... prolonged trial runs needs to be conducted.

Hahaha poore mp me ek bhi mega project nhi hai. Ye to chhodo indore ujjain aur omkareshwar ke beech me hai lekin aajtak indore se omkareshwar jaane ka raasta nhi bana paaye. Poora mp bhut pichhad chuka hai aur nayi sarkaar bhi kisi kaam ki nhi lag rhi hai kyoki iss sarkar ka bhi koi vision nhi dikh rha hai. Indore strategically india ke center me hai jo ki manufacturing ka hub ban sakta hai lekin pichhle 30 saalo me doosre rajyo ke muqabale bihaar ki tarah yhaa bhi kucch nhi hua
Pichle 10 saal mama nai forward thinking rakh Kai development projects nahi la paya MP mai ek bhi. TCS, Infosys la Kai bahut teer Mar liya esa usko dikhaya gaya.

In India other public transport options should also be explored other than only metro.. whether it's Mumbai or Meerut metro can't be feasible and profitable in both the situations.
In meerut they are constructing metro on the tracks of Rrts but in cities like Lucknow and Kanpur metro is not successful till now...there should be other options as well for better public transport
