The RUclips algorithm suggested this video for me because I watch stuff from Classic wow. After watching 5 seconds of this I can't understand how people can play like this. The UI looks like an airliner cockpit. Half of the screen is filled with icons, numbers and timers. It's like a firehose of information directed at your brain. No one can take in, let alone process 90% of what's happening on the screen. Do you really need to know every stat buff that your target has? Why do you need a live damage meter? Why do you need to know that you were healed for exactly 3,046 HP if you can shorten it to 3k or something? Why do you need to see a constant stream of 4-digit numbers flying from your target? It's just waaaay too much. And even if you play the same expansion and the same class, you still don't fully know what's going on because you may use different addons.
These are AWC players. So yes they track a lot of stuff. And probably most is situational. But it really is on the details in these games. But to be honest these highlevel games in hardcore will probably also have almost as much information with cd tracking etc. Damage meters is also to know which target does the most pressure on your team so you can lock him down for example.
I'm a simple man, I see Cdew, I thumbs up.

Put as much effort into learning new game mechanics as you did writing your essay and you might be able to get your first Combatant title
