Blooming paperwhites have an incredibly strong aroma - but an enclosed polyhouse filled with blooming Viburnum 'Carlesi' gave me the most intense florally scented experience of my life - so overwhelmingly pungent it felt other worldly.
I am so excited this year because I bought a Christmas cactus last year and it is blooming. My grandmother had a 100 year old Christmas cactus when see died and my mother killed it in the first year so I was so surprised when I was able to kee it alive let alone see it bloom.

Thank you for your lovely videos. As a longtime Gardener I would highly recommend that rather than fiddling with the roots of a bulb to reduce their growth, that you actually plant them in containers that are sturdy enough and capable of holding the weight of these flowers, especially the weight of an amaryllis bulb or one that has multiple stalks. 😁

Angela as I watched your video about planting amaryllis, I was inspired to go out and look for them. I happened to find the bulbs at our local supermarket for $5 a bulb. I got a bunch and will try planting them as I've never planted indoor bulbs before. Thank you for inspiring me.

Love your ideas of adding gourds and/or shiny ornaments to the pots to add interest while they are growing! I’ve got several amaryllis bulbs started already as gifts but nothing fancy happening yet. Great tip!
Some people think that just expensive things are good. I often shop in the Euro shop, and that works just as well. 😉 But I like how it looks with the Christmas ornaments 👍🏼🎄
Walmart also carry them anywhere between $5.99-8.99 and Lowe’s as well. Any home improvement store. I get them from all the above snd after holidays plant in the garden and they have multiply like crazy.

Your timing is perfect...I actually Just planted mine today! Questions: can we plant paperwhites in soil? Mine actually came with a pot AND soil Questions: would it work to get a tall clear glass cylinder vase...put some soil way in the bottom, put a bulb in...and have those stems all straight and encircled within the vase?

What is the name of the beautiful red and white bowls , and teacups that you use in your kitchen and now to plant your bulbs in ? Are they online ? Or just antique stores ? I’d love to start searching for some like them .
Did your bulbs go thru a cold spell first? I’ve read that you need to put them in the fridge for a few weeks to simulate going thru winter and then force bloom them.
I put my paper white in the basement over this summer it is starting to peak out do I bring it up and water water it cause we're like in December yeah December now can you tell me when's the best time to bring it up Got a little bit of green sticking up

did you forget to add the instructions on how to do the forcing? How to keep them from getting too tall? The music is too loud at the point you say what you add and I just cant make it out.

Ooooh a black amaryllis sounds BEAUTIFUL! I planted my bulbs in some old, hobnail milk glass planters with a touch of toile scrap fabric. ♡ 🎄 ♡

I can’t afford $40 for one bulb but found that at Family Farm and Home amaryllises were $5.99 so I grabbed a couple.

Paperwhites and Amaryllis are not hardy to this climate - they do not need a cold period.
I have never done this, but I will try it this year. I'm curious - can the bulbs can be reused each year?
