On the topic of redistribution and merit. If we look back to the pandemic, you can see how people were treated based on what they did for work and how the money didn't translate to their importance. Those of us who were deemed "essential works" saw an increase in our workloads but not the money we were getting for it. These are people who were normally looked down upon for doing bottom of the barrel jobs, but they were the same people keeping society running. While people in board rooms weren't contributing anything.
There are a lot of good short and easy to read introduction books on Philosophy. Our favourites are ‘A little history of philosophy’ and ‘what does it all mean’. Let us know how it goes 🙏🏾

I think if you're hiring and one person in your friend. The most ethical thing to do is to get someone else to do the interview/hiring.
