I like the rental Pokemon thing they're doing, but I definitely think they should get 1 or 2 weaker Pokemon and use the rental to use stronger Pokemon.

They would never have such op Pokemon. I could see Jessie having Indeedee and Thievul and I could see James having a Morgrem and a Cramorant (because it's a Pokemon I can see always swallowing Pikachu just to spit it back out)

I personally think Meowth is actually the leader of the team (I think it was implied in Pokemon Chronicles or something?) so he couldn’t stay behind. Plus he can talk. If he wore a disguise he could pass for a child when other Pokemon couldn’t.

I believe its trying to be canon to the games. Plus they are bad at catching pokemon. Every time was either friendship which is rare or anger issues or just being really lucky.
If I remember correctly from the show, I think it’s because of Jessie getting rid of that Pokémon and then to make it up replaced it with a different Weppinbell, then Jessie got annoyed again and knocked it out of the area when it evolved, I remember something like that because of James saying “No not you too Victreebell!”
I love how Wobbufett became so iconic it has been the only one to have consistantly stuck around. It was sent to HQ in Best Wishes but it was so popular it was brought back.

James ditching his Magicarp was biggest "played yourself" of the decade, or he'd quite literally have a Mega Evolved Gyarados along side him by now with a good set of dragon type moves
That big shell on every Slowbro's tail is actually a Shellder. According to Pokedex entries and the show, Slowpokes evolve when they are bitten by Shellder. If they bite the tail, they become Slowbros. If on the head, Slowkings. In games, despite what you can read in the Pokedex, you don't need any actual Shellder in order to evolve your Slowpoke.
With all the Pokémon that team rocket caught throughout the regions, if you combine them together they would a full fledged army that they could use to destroy the world

I think we can all agree the Arbok and Weezing episode where they were released was absolutely heartbreaking. But do you wanna know what else is heartbreaking about it? That episode was the last time Pupitar appeared in the anime :c
Jessie had some bad ass Pokémon and James had some adorable ones. But what really makes it is they actually cared for their Pokémon and seeing them release any of them hit the feels more than any of Ash’s
Anyone who hasn't seen the anime probably thinks team rocket is a dick for releasing all their pokemon but they really aren't, it's sad why they released their pokemon
charizard and aggron i thought it was. Also when ash had 8th gym battle giovanni was not around and jessid and James where gym leader and they used Rhydon, Kingler and Machamp
Still looking forward to them having a Celesteela in their journeys. Its really an interesting pokemon for Team Rocket to have, much more if it is one they did not caught but decided to travel with them like Meowth. Even though they have not managed to catch the one in Alola, hope they can encounter again one on their own without twerp presence, or it may come to them as rental from Giovanni.
I understand that for plot reasons Jessie and James remain loyal to Team Rocket to serve as the antagonists, but at this point they've helped Ash and CO. more than hurt them if you think about it. Every time they've captured Pikachu, or any of the MC's pokemon, their subsequent escape just translated into exp and EVs mechanically. Not to mention the times Jessie and James have actually be directly helpful (I don't remember if the movies are canon or not, but Pokemon 2000 they helped Ash summon Lugia), they've helped the MC team's pokemon grow through challenge and adversity as well as cooperation and support. And this has happened both in combat and in contests; as Jessie (and James in some instances) competed against the MC coordinator and pushed them to do better. I would honestly love to see the moment where they wake u pand realize that they could just as easily side with Ash and be regular rivals who travel the regions trying to find and capture new pokemon and grow stronger through their own merits than remaining loyal to Team Rocket and just trying to catch this one pikachu/the rest of Ash and CO's teams.
It would be nice if James had atleast one pokemon like Jessie. Yes we can't imagine their team without Wobbuffet anymore and James didn't have pokemon like that, maybe Mime jr.. In my opinion Mime jr. should still be on their team.
between "given to giovanni" and "HQ" there is no difference, they are practically pokemon that have where the team rocket base they are not release :v mimikyu and mareanie, they just left them with beweare in alola.
The difference is that the pokemon that are at the HQ are still theirs, just in the base, while the ones given to Giovanni were like gifts to him so it's not like they can take them back
Honestly, I want them to capture some pokémon in galar, like in other regions, James or Jessie could capture a Galarian Meowth, and the other member of the team could capture the Mopeko

I really hope that Mimikyu is with Jessie in the new season. Mimikyu and Wobbuffet are to her, what Pikachu is to Ash. Jame could do with a Pokemon that doesn't attack/hug him every time, and would love it if they could have more than 3 Pokemon each
Now to think of all the Pokemon James caught, if he evolved some of them, he could have a killer team of Gyarados, Arcanine, Victreebel, Malamar, Toxapex, Mr. Mime/Weezing

Well they work as a duo. In the games if there is a side with 2 people or a duo then they have 3 pokemon each. Otherwise you got 12 vs 6.

Its really an interesting pokemon for Team Rocket to have, much more if it is one they did not caught but decided to travel with them like Meowth. Im from the future: James had catched a Morpeko.
I understand that for plot reasons Jessie and James remain loyal to Team Rocket to serve as the antagonists, but at this point they've helped Ash and CO. more than hurt them if you think about it.
Every time they've captured Pikachu, or any of the MC's pokemon, their subsequent escape just translated into exp and EVs mechanically. Not to mention the times Jessie and James have actually be directly helpful (I don't remember if the movies are canon or not, but Pokemon 2000 they helped Ash summon Lugia), they've helped the MC team's pokemon grow through challenge and adversity as well as cooperation and support. And this has happened both in combat and in contests; as Jessie (and James in some instances) competed against the MC coordinator and pushed them to do better.
I would honestly love to see the moment where they wake u pand realize that they could just as easily side with Ash and be regular rivals who travel the regions trying to find and capture new pokemon and grow stronger through their own merits than remaining loyal to Team Rocket and just trying to catch this one pikachu/the rest of Ash and CO's teams.
I would like to have their Pokemon back on, it was heart breaking seeing arbok and weezing run away

It would be nice if James had atleast one pokemon like Jessie. Yes we can't imagine their team without Wobbuffet anymore and James didn't have pokemon like that, maybe Mime jr.. In my opinion Mime jr. should still be on their team.
