Sefina is really great in TFA, HOWEVER the City of Archives absolutely nuked me, no 13-hand starting hand, no cards under Investigator, that was absolutely miserable
Nice content. Great to see there's another great content creator for Arkham LCG now and can't believe I haven't seen your content pop up before. Keep up the good work!
Great video! I think I would include Akachi over Daniella for TSK. Daniella's 5 fight is really useful, and there are a couple of scenarios with big boss enemies where her ability can come in clutch. Akachi struggles to use her 5 will against concealed enemies, especially if she is leaning into her ability and including lots of assets with charges.
Thank you so much! So far I've preferred to stay away from rankings/ratings videos TOO much because they can get kind of reductive in a vacuum, and I really like making the rules / guides videos. But I definitely see how popular these videos are!
Thank you very much. I find this kind of content really useful. Nothing worse than having an idea for an investigator in a campaign, and finding out the archetype you wanted to use doesn't work in that campaign.
I don't know if you usually consider parallel investigators in these, especially ones as complicated as the one I'm about to bring up, but for the Scarlet Keys, parallel Roland deserves an honorary mention. While he can be built in a lot of different ways, two of his five regulations require enemies at his location, and if you're playing parallel Roland as any kind of flex rather than a straight-up monster hunter, he'll be hurt in a similar way as Trish. (Contrast the Innsmouth Conspiracy where parallel Roland can get a lot of really fun things done.)
So my bf and I did try to do a dunwich campaign with Patrice and Amanda’s and it went so badly first scenario we switched to zoey and Ursula and which worked well with me having sledgehammer/safeguard and just having Ursula take me to all the enemies to one-shot.
Agreed. Finn is doing some serious work in our 4p group of friends and trivialized our most recent Carcosa scenario through the power of evasion (for spoiler reasons I won't say which one).
As a new Arkham player I really enjoy these kinds of videos. It would be great if you could also include the name of the cycle the card you are showing is from.
I've never found Dunwich to be an issue for Patrice. She has lots of hard counters to Beyond the Veil and Armitage is broken on her. It's one of her better campaigns. Don't want to die as Patrice? It's simple bring Quantum Flux or Eucatastrope or Alter Fate or.....
I don't think it needs to be in the right order even. If you see Quantum Flux (or any of the numerous cards that activate her elder Sign) just play them immediately and you should now have enough time to outlast the scenario. If you see it again, play it again. There's no need for Katja. In later scenarios you can replace Quantum Flux with Eucatastrophe. Then it's all to easy to just use one of the base 2 stats to activate Eucatastrophe, pass the test and nullify Beyond the Veil. Now you're not even wasting an action. I honestly think if more people tried Patrice on Dunwich, they'd see how much of a non-issue Beyond the Veil is to her.
I guess the only thing with that is that Quantum Flux removes itself from the game, so you risk playing it too early. But yes, Eucatastrophe is fantastic (although with the taboo list it also removes itself from the game), and Alter Fate just solves it outright, especially since it's Fast.
This was a fun video. I'll definitely check out more of your content. The video idea of "the best investigators for each campaign" sounds fun.
I enjoyed this video! I would like to see the "best investigators for each campaign" video as well.
Sure hope you do that opposite video you teased at the end!
I definitely will! It's a very different discussion, talking about which campaigns synergize well with investigators' abilities!
Would definitely appreciate suggestions for best investigators for each campaign [with two players)
Yeah, a good two-player pairings is another video, probably.
That "License Agreement" at the beginning was really clever and made me laugh
I had fun making it :)

I love Winifred but the thought of playing her through Dunwich just fills me with dread

Thanks for watching! I've definitely seen your name over on the PBG Discord and elsewhere!

Yeah, Mystics need Sixth Sense or Wither, and at that point you're losing out on Akachi's value.
Wow, I just discovered your channel and it's freaking awesome! Thank you for such good content!
Welcome! And thank you so much! Lots more to come :)
These "dumb opinions" are really well thought-out and insightful! Please keep the dumb opinions coming!
I am so thankful for your videos. Your opinions are much respected from LCG players.

Glad it was helpful!

Good points! I didn't really think the parallels through in these, but maybe I should. I've only ever played Parallel Roland and Parallel Skids.
or a video with best true solo inv. for each campaign please

I choked a little when you said evasion is not that useful in Path to Carcosa.
Agreed. Finn is doing some serious work in our 4p group of friends and trivialized our most recent Carcosa scenario through the power of evasion (for spoiler reasons I won't say which one).

I usually do that for other kinds of videos, but forgot here. Oops!
I loved this video
some of the best dumb opinions i've ever heard
Used daniella in TSK and it worked just fine, but I get what you mean

Yeah, the only trick is drawing the cards in the right order. I think Katja Eastbank would be a good choice to hold onto e.g. Quantum Flux.
