    I thought that deaf folk could speak, even tho it's a bit iffy. As the "deaf" guy indeed did here. Now sign language for the blind would be more of a challenge to us all. There are none so blind as those that will not hear.

    • @hyperfracture
      @hyperfracture 2 года назад +1

      Well you aren’t exactly wrong there, but it depends how long they have been deaf or if they were born deaf. If they have heard people talk before, their speech might be a bit iffy, but if they have never heard people talk at all…

    • @rogueuniversities6866
      @rogueuniversities6866 2 года назад

      Depends on the person and if deaf from birth, what they say may be unclear as they have never heard themselves

    • @mydogeatspuke
      @mydogeatspuke Год назад +1

      @@hyperfracture never having heard someone speak doesn't mean you wouldn't know how to speak yourself. Yes, it can sometimes be difficult to understand a deaf person when they speak as the small nuances of spoken word are lost, but losing your hearing doesn't damage your vocal chords. They can still feel themselves talking, just as they can feel music. It's nowhere near as black and white as you suggest.
