I absolutley love these Alt. versions of Owl City's songs, they have a sweet nostalgic feeling, like when you return to your hometown and meet up with your old pals, remembering the good old days.

Some things about Cinematic upset me a little, like the fact that some lyrics are not what we were used to considering the last albums released. I'm not the right person to criticise, obviously, and this is definitely not my favourite album of Owl City, but I will always appreciate Adam's work the same way I did when Fireflies came out.

Have you ever heard her in Years of War by Porter Robinson? Very different type of music, but she's fantastic in that as well. One of my all time favorite tracks.
I don’t find the rap-type situation in the verses unappealing at all. I like it a lot, in fact! Everyone has different tastes. I did find the “Yeah” situation in the original a bit cringy, but if you think of it as the opening song of tv show it makes it a little better. It’s just not the best as it’s own pop/edm song. I like this version a lot. Definitely not my favorite song on the album, but it’s good.
