I absolutely love Legends Arceus and I never really thought about trying to 100% the Pokedex because I'm not the completionist type, but that also means that I never actually thought about the fact that a lot of the tasks overlap and it's less of a big list of separate things you need to do, but instead an intricate puzzle of how many you can overlap at a time. That's very cool.
Uhhh there's plenty of reason to go back to arceus since it's a spinoff game and there's already a lot of confirmed features that aren't being implemented into scarlet and violet
@@ZhadTheRad no it's not lmao that argument is so stupid, you can't have battles with other players, it released as a single version not the standard two versions, it doesn't fit the naming scheme of every single other generation, etc etc etc there's a lot of reasons most people won't consider this game to be mainline. You can have your opinion just know most people don't agree 🤷
@@slowazzd2165 lmao. that's like saying black 2 and white 2 aren't mainline because they were sequels which isn't supposed to happen and there were four games instead of the usual two or three which isn't supposed to happen so no one should consider it to be mainline and you're free to be wrong as long as you know that everyone else will know that you're wrong 🤷
I noticed a lot of the hardcore shiny Hunters complained about how easy it was to get shinies but still used the mechanics to increase their chances, like don't use the mechanic and Go full odds oh but you had to because you had to get Arceus LOL anyways I played all the main Series titles and to be honest Pokemon wasn't that popular for me so I played by myself and never received any shiny charm due to not being able to complete Pokedex so I never encountered a shiny. Red Gyarados doesn't count for me and wonder trading to get a shiny didn't count for me either so I enjoyed all the shinies I got from Legends
This game was so fun and I feel like this game didn't get enough attention as it deserved and I'm wanting to do so much more in the game and even though I finished everything, I still come back and find things to do but I feel like when SV come out I'll forget about it, idk I feel kinda sad
I completely agree with you and I'm all for a new Pokemon Generation but I feel like Scarlett and violet could have waited a little bit just think of the things they could have introduced like abilities, it seems like Gym Battles was just starting off. They could have slowly started adding Pokemon in for us to discover breeding Etc. I thought it was going to be like we start in the past and make our way to the future. We started with a fresh Pokedex no abilities we could have learned all of that on the way I hope they continue the Legends game
I'm just surprised it's the favourite Pokemon game for so many people. Gameplay isn't that different for battles, I'd say styles have been an awful introduction, the visuals are still beyond bad, even with mods on an emulator it's ugly af, it's the only Pokemon game that couldn't keep my interest for long. The presentation is just too weak for me to invest more time into it and since no shit has been given to improve it after release there's also no point in returning. I hope Scarlet and Violet can be emulated quickly, I don't want to give Gamefreak any money unless they prove themselves to deliver this time. Pokemon has declined a lot and at this point it's sad to say the fanbase sunk as low as the Sonic fanbase, still getting hyped and being very defensive over mediocre games, despite (hopefully) knowing better.
@@edmg7 If they like it they like it. I just don't get how this of all games can be the favourite, it's so soulless and poorly done.. Pokémon Legends did some things differently, but nothing it changed was very good. Exploration is bad because the world is empty and looks awful, the battle system with the Styles makes priority and hard hitting missable moves pointless, even walking around was barely different, everything you do like dodging or throwing Pokémon for berries was there before, but simpler and more effective.. I just don't get it, it doesn't excel at everything, it's the most mediocre Pokémon game in years
@@xPandamon I actually agree with most of the stuff you said (although I've found priority moves aren't pointless. Watch Moxie2D fight Volo, he cheeses the whole fight with quick attack). As for why people still consider it a favorite, I think there's 4 main reasons. 1. The fact that a Pokémon game does anything different is refreshing enough for them. 2. In regards to battles they don't have much experience with other turn-based RPGs and/or think Pokémon is easy anyway so something that's more challenging than "press A to win" is fun. 3. They don't care much that there's little to do in the areas (I say "much" because I have seen people say they wish there was more). What matters most is that the cycle of exploring to crafting to catching back to exploring is so satisfying that they just want to get lost in the world of the game. 4. It's fast. No random encounters, no pausing to show what items you got, the turns in battle are efficient and have little dialogue, and the story doesn't constantly interrupt your progress. To them it feels more like an experience you're living rather than a game you're constantly waiting to start.
"I figure you guys might be able to help me-" yeah, definitely. Chat is *very* helpful 🙂

I identify with this so hard. I'm not ready to say goodbye. I still have a bunch of quests to get through though.

Legend Arceus is a main series game

Its a terrible game. Every mainline Pokemon game is better, so i'm overjoyed to finally have a new world to explore
That's a pretty cringe take, bro.
