J Hope is called the hidden leader by the leader of BTS for a very good reason. I was shocked to realise how many BTS songs were written by him! He has the most “textured” rap, literally dancing with words. I don’t know Korean but there is a Korean speaker and translator who said on Twitter that he had to consult a Korean language professor to make sure his English translation of J-Hope’s lyrics are good. All BTS members’ solo albums and projects have been amazing. Each are so different and each amazing. No wonder they are the biggest band in the world. But J-Hope is a rhythmic genius.
Now trust me when we say that J-hope is a BEAST live. This man has probably the greatest or one of the greatest stage presences I've ever seen in my life. All BTS members are like that but J-hope is just unreal in hyping the crowd and catching your attention. I really really recommend you to check out his Lollapalooza performance. Also for his other songs: Daydream, Equal Sign, Blue Side and Boy Meets Evil, to show you his versatility.
he’s seriously one of the most recognizable yet one of the most UNDERRATED kpop idols fr. kpopies look at him and see only bts, but he’s so much more than that. i just wish people would recognize his hard work and his uniqueness more. :( artists like him don’t grow on trees.
My heart is so full of pride for this man. I got teary when you said how beautiful he is because let's be real, he is gorgeous. Unfortunately, he wasn't seen as handsome in South Korea that's why im always tearing up when someone says he's pretty and appreciates his talent as well. Thank you for this reaction💜
I could write a dissertation on how incredible a rapper and artist j-hope is. I think because he didn't come from underground rap like RM & Suga, people underestimate his hip hop roots but he is unquestionably THEE hip hop head of the group. Like he grew up doing hip hop dance (won a national championship in Boogaloo prior to joining BTS). He knows hip hop inside out and you can hear it in his music. He's so obviously influenced by old school east coast and west coast rappers. And because he's a dancer, his musicality is untouchable. He finds really cool pockets and rides the hell out of them. He understands what flows hit and he moves deftly in and out of them. He's a beatboxer too and a vocalist so I think all of that, in addition to the heavy character just in his natural voice, gives him a huge bag of tools with regard to his tone. Some tracks he's on sound like they've got 3 additional feature artists on them but it's all JUST HIM. His signature is his versatility really. And his lyricism is phenomenal too. Westerners can undervalue it sometimes because of all the rappers, he's the hardest to translate for. He's just very abstract and referential so the wordplay and context gets lost when it's translated. And you have to look in unexpected places to find the references bc they could be from niche foreign films, economic theory, classic literature, obscure foreign traditions, Korean history and politics, or he especially references his own bars a lot so you really have to know his discography. And he uses sounds and adlibs and production to reinforce the lyrics too so sometimes there are clues to the interpretation of the lyrics in different layers of the song. And his concept building is top notch too. Both of his albums are narrative driven and tell complete stories from beginning to end. AND I haven't even talked about his best skill yet which is live performance. He's the best performer I've ever seen. Watch him do Arson at MAMA 2022. Or his Lollapalooza set. He headlined both events and absolutely ate them up. And I agree that his initial impression can seem incongruous with the typical idea of a rapper but I think that makes him more interesting. He's unquestionably COOL--swaggy, fashionable, leading culture--but his brand of cool is kind and bright and self-accepting and yeah, cute. It's sort of like a Donald Glover/Childish Gambino dichotomy. He's quirky but he goes hard as hell and then he's really got such a serious, Type A side too...the unique combination and all the layers just make him that much more interesting and entertaining. Anyway, I'm probably doing too much now but I really just think he's so special. One of one. We're so lucky to have him on our team!
Yes yes! You just absolutely must watch him in live performances! I love everything about J-Hope and even knowing he was my bias I was still blown away by his professionalism and perfection on stage. He connects with every person and moves all around the stage. All of BTS give 110% (at least in the shows I’ve seen) but this man is too much. He was born to create and perform.
Damn you explained it sooo much better than I ever could... even to myself. I can never find the words to completely describe the artwork jhope is... but did a phenomenal job.... 💜💜💜💜💜
"Arson" is so cool, especially Hobi's live performance on Lollapalooza is even more amazing. In addition, his rap is very personal, not specifically competing with the speed, but showing strong tension and flow. And "JITB" won the ninth place in Rolling Stone Magazine's Top Hundred Best Albums of last year. I also recommend "Blue side"👍
Our Hobi is amazing isn’t he? People expect just his sunshine side but don’t realize his intensity is what’s pushed the perfection on stage BTS is famous for. All 6 other members strive for his approval (he’s a sunshine bit notices every mistake) and he’s ridiculously creative and rapping he’s got such a unique flow totally different from either RMs lyrical flow or Yoongis aggressive style. Hobi rides and dances in the beat finding pockets of rhythm. It’s almost unfair all 3 are in one group. To think people in yen early years tried to get him kicked out for not being attractive (not fitting kpop looks) and in the earliest video he literally wore a face mask to cover him up because they wanted to downplay his face. He’s soooo gorgeous stunning perfection.
Yes! It’s even crazier when you consider that pre-debut people would knew BTS as “that group that Jung Hoseok is in” because his dancing was so well-known. He really is incredibly talented, a true all-rounder (dancing, rapping, singing, producing, songwriting, lyricism, choreographing…)
Exactly. A lot of the times people (and even armys) See jhope as the sunshine/mood maker guy who dances and raps. But not many people realize that he is literally a mentor to bts. All members seek his approval and not just when it comes to performance. How many times have bts members said that "as long as Jhope is okay with it, it's all good". Also to think that Jhope learned rapping from RM and Suga but went on to make his own unique style that would compliment his musicality. And yes it's totally unfair to have these 3 rappers in one group because there is way too much excellence and it's not even the same type.... it's in all different directions. 💜💜💜💜
The darker side of JHope is something I waited for years to see. Then to see a glorious album full of barely restrained chaos was absolutely mesmerizing! Add in his legendary Hobipalooza performance and the man can do no wrong! My personal favourite of the solo albums released so far, because JHope really tried something so completely different and absolutely nailed it. Brilliant!!!
71 year old BTS Army here. J-hope's record breaking live performance at the famous Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago last August after his Album release is something I may never recover from. J-hope was the headliner. You can react in 2 parts. The song "Music Box Reflection" from his album is an instrumental and about halfway through. J-hope does a costume change at that time. It's a good stopping point for a two segment reaction. Seriously, we love that concert and reactions to it! This would be the ultimate compilation!!! Thanks for your reaction!!! 💜
Yes, that was one of the most mesmerizing live performances I've ever seen. The first half is the part I found most interesting, because it was a mix of Jack in the Box and Hope World songs. The new arrangements of the older songs (props to the musical director and kicka$$ band) allowed them to blend seamlessly with the new material. While some people said that they didn't know where JITB came from, I felt the seeds were right there on Hope World- Hangsang, Baseline, P.O.P, Airplane- and the extended version of Blue Side.
J-Hope live is a whole different level of experience... it's hard to describe but he's just mind blowing. The thing is the camera just can't capture how awesome he is from his ethereal looks to his unbelievable stage presence, he will completely blow your mind. J-Hope is also recognized as the Golden Hyung opposite JK's Golden Maknae... he can do it all.
Na... there is no golden "hyung"... only for his solos. The only one who is hyung to all is Jin. Hobi is "only" hyung to Jimin, Taehyung and JK. JK is "golden maknae" because Namjoon named him that pre-debut - probably to give him more self-confidence. Fandom has pulled that into meaning more than it actually was meant to do. (and by Korean beauty standards Hobi is considered almost ugly... so it is fun that the fandom actually appreciates his looks. Personally it is his energy that makes him absolutly gorgeous. - I'm neither) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Jhope is the whole package. He is extremely versatile and talented. He is focused and hard working. They are all but to me personally, J-Hope possesses this magnetism/aura that is so captivating. Personality-wise, i need a J-Hope in my life. He is funny, caring and not shy at all.
J-Hope is one of the best rappers, and the best dancers. He can sing unlike many rappers who can't do that. In short, J-Hope is good at everything. He's called golden hyung. J-Hope's voice is perfect.
j-hope is truly an incredible artist, he's soo good at so many things. he IS a creator and the soul is always felt in his creations. i love his music so much, he never disappoints. j-hope is also an insanely good dancer and a great performer
I love J-hope's flow. I feel like he uses his voice as an instrument, and his switch-ups are insane. His Lollapalooza set was just legendary. I must have watched it 50 times. And yes, he totally does look like an angel. His concept photos with the long purple hair broke me.
#jhope is the one who actually showed growth and have the best rap flow who switches it up. Nothing is the same with him. Like if you look at the other rappers their rapping is the same in every song either vomiting the rap or mumbling their words. You could tell that some rappers need collabs otherwise their work will sound exactly the same as their other projects. That is why j-hope is known to have no bad verse. He is the most versatile and could manipulate his voice to suit whatever song. Before you go to other members which their fans beg you to do, listen to j-hope’s albums first to understand his artistry.
I love nothing better than seeing someone else fall for J-Hope. He’s my favorite person on earth I think. He works so hard at everything he does, always thinks he could’ve done better. But he also makes things seem effortless because he’s so talented. And yes, he’s lovely. I read about people leaving concerts unexpectedly J-Hope biased because of his performance and appearance. I went in already loving him most but still shook by him. I’m a 54 year old married mother of three children who works full time and if I get another chance to see him or all of BTS in my lifetime I’d spend every dime and make mountains move to do it! These guys are worth it and deserve all the respect and love they get plus more. 💜
One thing about him: he is using his voice like an instrument, always using it differently even from verse to verse in one song. One of the reasons why I can never get enough of him
J-hope never ceases to amaze me..he's an incredible dancer and an amazing performer, he sings he dances he raps and he writes music he can do it all.. and he's the beast on stage..every BTS live performances always so so good and he shined so bright on stage..he was born to be a performer.. please react more to BTS and j-hope live performances I'll leave links below for his performance on Lollapalooza in Chicago last year where he's the headliner and he met J. Cole which is his muse and they made a collab song together (on the street) J-hope Lollapalooza eng sub part 1 ruclips.net/video/BDhHGIYY5HY/видео.html J-hope Lollapalooza eng sub part 2 ruclips.net/video/ler3CbM9aoI/видео.html J-hope 'On the Street' with J. Cole: ruclips.net/video/r6WbbU_lLCA/видео.html Thank you so much Borahae 💜
JHope is so so pretty-handsome. His smile is absolutely brilliant. There used to be a saying among ARMY back in the day about the 3 rappers and their personalities: RM analyzes the world. Suga criticizes the world And JHope envisions the world as its supposed to be.
In BTS' Map of the Soul: 7 album, they talked a lot about their past 7 years, their growth and discovering who you really are. It was based on Carl Jung's concept of human psychology and includes the songs- Persona, Shadow and Ego. Each rap line member took up one of the songs, RM performing Persona, Suga- Shadow and Jhope- Ego. I really recommend listening to Persona and Shadow too. They are great songs and persona is probably one of my top 3 RM songs💜 Thank you for the reaction and have a nice day💜
1. His entire album "Jack in the Box" (2022) is incredible. It tells a clear story from start to finish. The concept, the message, the lyrics, the music, the rap, everything is flawless. It's worth doing an album reaction because the narrative flows from one song to the next. "Enjoy BTS More" has the visualizers of the songs in one video, with subtitles. 2. "Ego" is actually more typical of J-hope's songs prior to "Jack in the Box". His solo songs in BTS albums and his first solo mixtape are mostly upbeat and bright, and you've seen a bit of his sunny personality in the Taylor's guide. So, imagine the thrill running through the fandom when J-hope first dropped the first concept photos for "Jack in the Box", and then we got "More" and "Arson"! 3. His performance when he headlined in Lollapalooza was electrifying. Being the dance leader, the way he moved was so captivating, even without choreography. 4. I think it's almost impossible to choose a bias in BTS because they're all equally talented, and yet so different. The rappers have very distinct styles and the singers have very distinct voices. 5. In a similar way, if you have to compare BTS concerts and J-hope's Lollapalooza set and Yoongi's solo tour, you'll have to admit that they are of equal quality -- their live performances always elevate their music to another level -- but that they each have a different flavor. These guys have such strong artistic colors and are able to express them in such a high standard, that you'll be in awe with everything they do, whether it's as a group, as a unit, or as a solo artist. 6. Next you have Jin. I'd recommend: "The Astronaut", "Epiphany", "Moon", and "Super Tuna" (this one is very short).
You know I compare BTS to Asian food (the ones with lots of spices). On their own each spice can make dishes taste good, but when different spices come together, then the magic happens. 😅😅
Also check out his hope world mixtape and the entire jack in the box album. And then his lollapalooza set is a must watch. You will be watching a master of the stage at work. Jhope is the member who had incredible stage presence since predeubt. For all the bts rappers, their mixtapes are fire. Their albums are extremely well crafted. Incredible lyric writing from all three. Even the vocalists in bts write beautiful songs.
The rock version for arson that they use for his performance in lollapalooza gave me serious goosebumps. This song is rock but when u make it live band rock, its the bomb
Yes😁 one of the things I hear people mention about his voice and rapping style the most is how its so flexible depending on the rhythm and flow of the song. One of my favorite reactors even calls him vocal camelion because of how many different things he can do with his voice lol (AND he's a good singer on too of that)
Can’t wait for you to watch his live performances . Jhope is not BTS’ performance leader for nothing. He is electric on stage. There is a reason why the members always consult him when it comes to performances.
J-hope is an incredible rapper!!! All the rappers in BTS are out of this world! To reccommend more og J-hopes song, I would reccommend Baseline, Pandoras Box and Equal Sign. Those are some of my favorites from him - even though it is so hard to chose. When you have checked out the members and BTS songs, I really recommend to listen to their feature songs. All the songs have featured on are amazing as well. Ex. Rush hour by Crush ft. J-hope, Timeless by Tiger JK ft. RM, Dont ever say love me by Colde ft. RM, Sugas Interlude by Halsey ft. Suga and so on
You just got done with More and I'm so stoked to see how you react to the total 180 hobi is about to pull out for this next song. So different from his Jack in the Box songs.😂😂😂😂😂
Fellow Aussie here. Really cool you are checking your biases as you listen to J-Hope. In life, many people don't realise it's an intentional practice to be open and humbly and respectfully re-learn things we should (sorry that got a bit deep but I had to say it). I'm mostly here for SKZ but I'm open to other content, including BTS and ATEEZ especially the deep meaning of many of these songs.
OMG YES, THANKS FOR UR REACTION! I really love jhope's solo stuff, he definitely took me off guard in the beginning too!😂✨ I also recommend the mv, "Chicken noodle soup!" ft Becky G🔥
J-Hope is a very good rapper and also a very good vocalist. You should check out J-Hope's lollapalooza performance. The live performance of Arson and More was extremely good.
Jhope is the type of guy that know what he wants, you can tell with the way he plays with his flows, he raps with a flow and playful in a way. He's solos are personally my type of taste compared to the bts members, you would see what I mean while watching his lollapalooza performance, you can just tell he knew what he was doing with his raps and songs.
Thanks for your reaction! I think starting as a dancer allows J Hope has a special feel for the rhythm and the beat that make his flows so special. His album Jack in the Box goes hard. His earlier music had a bit more happy feel but he had some hard songs on his Hope World mix tape too. He is just a super diverse artist. 💜
The beginning of Ego sampled the Intro from BTS' debut album "2 Cool 4 Skool." On the album Ego is on, the Rap Line each did a song about a different version of the "self" according to Carl Jung's psychological theory of self and each installment sampled the intro from their first three albums. RM did the Intro "Persona" which sampled their third album's intro "Skool Luv Affair." Suga did the Interlude "Shadow" which sampled their second album's intro "O!RUL8,2?" and j-hope's Outro "Ego" sampled the intro from their first album "2 Cool 4 Skool" as I mentioned. So if the intro from Ego sounded different from the rest of the song to you, that's why. haha. But, for the record, if you hear record scratches on a song, j-hope probably had the biggest hand in the production. He loves those record scratches in his music. haha
Yeah! Glad you’ve made it to hobi! Arson made me want to learn more hangeul so I could sing along! Thanks for your open mind for BTS and their members!
Wonder how would like J Hope’s collab with J Cole called On the street ? Can’t wait to see your reaction to the rap lines Chyper series 1 - 4. Hope you watch them all. Also recommend the behind the scenes of their album creations and documentaries. RM, Yoongi and J-hope all have their explanation videos and documentaries about how their solo albums came about and it’s such a good watch. Highly recommend 👍🏼
I wanted to point out that when BTS are solo they have even more freedom than they do as a group (they still have a ton of control and freedom as a group but they just don't have all the other member's thought to keep in mind). If you check out more behind the scenes (especially for Jack in the Box album) you can hear Jhope explaining every song, his ideas for the music videos, the costumes for the music videos, etc... Ego is part of BTS album called Map of The Soup 7 album which connects to the themes of Carl Yung of Persona, Shadow, and Ego (which each rapper has a solo song talking about one of those)....I would sum up this song Ego, that through his own Ego and trust in himself it led him where he is today and wherever he goes in the future. Personally, I don't think he is talking about the toxic ego but the ego we all should have in ourselves that help us along in life and be secure about ourselves in a healthy way. I HIGHLY recommend watching Jhope's performance at Lalapalooza (his first full set solo performance). Personally, I HIGHLY recommend listening to the songs he performs first so you know what they sound like and are about. It makes it better and more enjoyable because you don't have to focus so much on the lyrics....I recommend Enjoy BTS More channel when you watch it because it has the subtitles. It is spilt into two videos just so you know. (He performs Hope World mixtape, Jack In The Box album, Chicken Noodle Soup, Cypher 1, Just Dance, and Dynamite tropical remix)
You didn't end up hearing anything from his first mixtape, Hope World, which i absolutely adore (even tho I love Jack in The Box as well). I'd highly recommend checking out Airplane and Base Line!! Also Chicken Noodle Soup, his song with Becky G! P.S. The beginning of Ego "we're now going to progress ~" was actually bts'debut announcement and the glitching clips right after are bts' MVs in reverse order (so going back to the beginning). Ego is off of Map of The Soul 7 which was originally supposed to be their last album (& tour 😭) before they all took a break to enlist in the military. Ego's mv is going thru all of bts' history & the album covers all of their emotions toward their success (especially Black Swan which talks about their fear of their 1st death referring to the quote "a dancer's first death is losing their passion". Sadly, this amazing album was released right before covid so they weren't able to fully promote it or go on tour as they had hoped. Covid affected them a lot and they ended releasing another album, BE, which contained all of those different feelings.
yeah, bts have only two member.. if you dont know how to say things than just keep.. 😊. and first heard of that. I belive army is Who love their music. they are musicians.
About burn out. You are correct about that though. About the thirst of your art, about all an consuming passion for music. About what that might mean to his life. You are one the more sharp “reactor” as your commentary is quite spot on. As a new fan of BTS it took me a long time to read lose the dichotomy between the sound of their music and the lyrics sometimes.
Each and every member from BTS is legendary!!!! Their performance, their personalities, their solo works are all incredible and at top level!!! Welcome to the new world 😂
Welcome back to BTS! You’re a great reactor so I’ve been waiting for your next BTS reaction. J-Hope is our sunshine. The members also gravitate towards J-Hope’s warmth. But when he’s in Dance Leader mode, they say they’re afraid of him. He’s very much a perfectionist. That’s one reason BTS is known for their very tight choreography.
Yeah! aloha from Hawaii. I enjoyed all you've done. ty for the caring as well as direct comments. If you need anything at all please let me know. take care.
yeah... recommend to watch Lollapalooza. You never experienced him before watch the performance of him. He is one-man in total package and I'm waiting his solo concert for my life.
There is a saying in the fandom that (ARMY how would you describe the different BTS rapper's style of rapping??): RM raps with his brain Suga raps with his soul Jhope raps likes he dances or Suga will tell you are sh*t. RM will tell you why you are sh*t. Jhope will tell you that it is okay to be sh*t.
I know there is one something like this but I could have it wrong: RM analyzes the world Suga criticizes the world Jhope...(I can't remember right now)...
If you ever get a chance, watch J-Hope headline at Lollapalooza in Chicago. Do It! You know what I never realized; until watching your video is that other groups make tv shows like old BTS tv shows. I had no Idea and then seeing the beginning of your video, I was like; OMG this is just like Bon Voyage. I loved the episode where they were playing in the snow. I can't believe after all these years I'm just finding this out.
Ego is the typical Jhope song. Upbeat, sing-song lyrical. UNTIL he released his first official solo album. Jack in the box shows a whole different side of him. Arson and more were shockers. Wonderfully so. Jhope isn’t a rapper, singer, or dancer. He is a pure entertainer.
So the MV for Ego really does fit the lyrics for the song, but youre missing some context to kind of understand HOW it fits. So this is going to be.... pretty long. But I did the best to help give context. Ego is the outro to the Map of The Soul era albums. These albums piggyback off the album series that came before it: the Love Yourself Trilogy. In LY we learned that in order to authentically show love to others we have to first love ourselves. This is a 3 album series. The first album is Love Yourself: Her. This album shows the feelings of being newly in love. The all encompassing, almost obsessive feeling of being with the other person. Doing everything possible to make someone happy. It kind of brilliantly showed small red flags within the narritive of the songs, subtle things, like how you want that person to be happy so badly that you will be anything they want you to be. And hiding or "changing" some of the things that would make yourself be less desirable. The second album is Love Yourself : Tear, the logical conclusion to a realtionship set up in the way the first album depicted. You have given so much to this person, changed so many things about yourself that you have fully lost who you are. And its no ones fault so you cant really blame anyone. But youre still feeling so much pain. The 3rd album is Love Yourself: Answer, which as you might have guessed, comes to the conclusion that you have to love yourself first. You have to learn to love every part of yourself, even the parts you thought were so ugly you tried to hide them from the people you tried to love. And that ended the love yourself series. But it's very easy to just say, Okay! I've decided to love myself! Everything is fixed! And honestly they could have done that, but that's just not how BTS does things lol. It's one thing to SAY "I'm the one I should love" But it's an entirely different struggle to learn HOW to love yourself when you arent even sure WHO YOU ARE. In order to Love Yourself. You have to Know Yourself. Enter, the Map of the Soul albums. There is only 2 albums in this era and the second one also came out on their 7 year anniversary which is a very significant number for BTS and ARMY so it shared some of the narrative with kind of a celebration and a look back on their careers up to this point. But the main important part of this for the context of this explanation, is that the Map Of The Soul is a famous concept by philosopher Carl Jung. There are many parts to it but the main big ones are the Persona (literally meaning the Mask, that which is our conscious personality and which determines how we deal with the world) the Shadow (the person we'd rather not be, the opposite of our conscious personality) and the Ego (the centre of the field of consciousness which contains our conscious awareness of existing and a continuing sense of personal identity.) There were many songs that dealt with BTS and their personas in the industry and their own personal feelings and thoughts, but the concept can really be summed up to it's most basic parts by looking at the albums intro, interlude and-- the one you just watched- the outro. The intro is Intro: Persona (RM solo) - which asks the question Who am I? Rm uses himself and the constant evaluation he does on what he is. What label to give himself. Artist? Idol? Human? Pig who keeps getting perl necklaces placed on him? (which he has done openly through lyrics and video logs since before debut, so he was the perfect person to show the concept of a persona. The face you use when facing others. Next is Interlude: Shadow (Yoongi solo) where yoongi opens up about how scared he always has this anxiety about how big they have become, and how he dreamed and worked so hard to get here but now he doesnt know if it was worth it. Literally having a conversation with his inner shadow at the end of the song. Learning that he cant cut off the parts of himself that feel these feelings. He has to realise they are all apart of himself. And finally! Outro Ego! Ego is the last song on these albums. It's the conclusion to the concept of searching yourself and finding out who you are. After this long journey of self reflection we can take solace in the fact that we are who we are and we can trust ourself. Even if everything or nothing changes around us, outlr past is ours, our future is ours, and our present is ours. As long as we understand that every part of ourselves is there for a reason we can come to a point of actual self acceptance. Now for the MV, we are seeing that from Jhopes POV. The song samples an old old BTS song (which all of the intro, interlude and ego did) and the MV is RIDDLED with callbacks to different points in time of their career. It's also very bright and Hopeful because all the way up until Jack in the Box which just came out last year, Hobis persona has always been fairly bright. He has always gotten dark and sometimes aggressive lyrically but he has always been HOPE. The bringt spot in the dark. To be clear, this didnt change with Jack In the Box. But it just kind of inverted. Where previously, he was outwordly "hopeful" (bright, shining, colorful) but if you look at what hes saying he doesnt shy away from dark concepts, in Jack in the Box he is more Dark. Passionate. Ready to set anything on fire with his drive. But if you look at his lyrics on this album. Hes still so so so optimistic about human nature and the potential we have. Anyways. I know this is pretty much an essay. Im sorry it was so long but i hope it made sense at least?
BTS members will always surprise you as each of them and as a team they are so versatile. and like you said they are very humble, which is why we love them, too. Thanks for your great reaction and glad that you like their music and artistic creativity. Now you need to watch the vocal line. Sevgiler Aydın...

YES! THIS! Absolutely ALL of this
He was born to create and perform.
god i love this comment so much thank you for writing it
Damn you explained it sooo much better than I ever could... even to myself. I can never find the words to completely describe the artwork jhope is... but did a phenomenal job.... 💜💜💜💜💜
Well said 👏🏾👏🏾
J-hope is a genius and his versatility makes his music really really different
"Arson" is so cool, especially Hobi's live performance on Lollapalooza is even more amazing. In addition, his rap is very personal, not specifically competing with the speed, but showing strong tension and flow. And "JITB" won the ninth place in Rolling Stone Magazine's Top Hundred Best Albums of last year. I also recommend "Blue side"👍
Hoseok's duality as an atists and stage presence is insane 🔥🔥
J-hope is an INSANE live performer of the kind you see once in a lifetime!
True!!! That experience is still vivid. Even though I watched it from my room and mobile screen. The energy was everything.
true J-Hope is truly an amazing performer 🔥🔥🔥
- I'm neither)
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
JHopes Lollapalooza Stage was one of my favourite performances ever. Pure and utter talent! 💜
Arson rock version, is even more ‘FIRE’! 🔥🔥🔥 it’s close to his Lollapalooza live performance
Yes! I’m in love with that version.
j-hope is truly an incredible artist, he's soo good at so many things. he IS a creator and the soul is always felt in his creations. i love his music so much, he never disappoints. j-hope is also an insanely good dancer and a great performer
Hoseok is the hope of all army. He's the one who always makes me smile. An incredibly talented, bright person.
Our J-hope is so beautiful and crazy talented 🔥💜love him
j-hope never ceases to amaze me with his talents, he's such an incredible and versatile artist
I cant wait until you get to live performances from full BTS and Solo members. Jhope live is... genuinely unreal. Im so excited.
One thing about him: he is using his voice like an instrument, always using it differently even from verse to verse in one song. One of the reasons why I can never get enough of him
J-hope never ceases to amaze me..he's an incredible dancer and an amazing performer, he sings he dances he raps and he writes music he can do it all.. and he's the beast on stage..every BTS live performances always so so good and he shined so bright on stage..he was born to be a performer.. please react more to BTS and j-hope live performances
I'll leave links below for his performance on Lollapalooza in Chicago last year where he's the headliner and he met J. Cole which is his muse and they made a collab song together (on the street)

Thank you so much
Borahae 💜
J-Hope is amazing!
Please be sure to tune in to his new EP Hope On The Street, coming this Friday March 29!
JHope is so so pretty-handsome. His smile is absolutely brilliant. There used to be a saying among ARMY back in the day about the 3 rappers and their personalities:
RM analyzes the world.
Suga criticizes the world
And JHope envisions the world as its supposed to be.
as a 2016 army, seeing that after so long was a trip lmao
@@sprixxcy9495 2016 ARMY too!
All of his verses are my favorite in BTS songs, Jack in the Box is flawless. A must listen all the way through in order.
J-hope is my bias and he's Yoongi's bias too 😍🥰❤ i love this so much..thank you for reacting to our Hobi 💜
JHOPE LETS GOOOO, his songs are so fire
In BTS' Map of the Soul: 7 album, they talked a lot about their past 7 years, their growth and discovering who you really are. It was based on Carl Jung's concept of human psychology and includes the songs- Persona, Shadow and Ego. Each rap line member took up one of the songs, RM performing Persona, Suga- Shadow and Jhope- Ego.
I really recommend listening to Persona and Shadow too. They are great songs and persona is probably one of my top 3 RM songs💜
Thank you for the reaction and have a nice day💜
His lollapalooza performance was crazy, so cool. if you have time watch this
My bias is an angel, main dancer, and amazing performer…everything 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
jhope is bts dance leader, street dancer, very wild and talented
Jhope is an absolute LEGEND! He’s an amazing rapper!
One of my favorite reactors even calls him vocal camelion because of how many different things he can do with his voice lol (AND he's a good singer on too of that)
Jhope is our superstar! I love him so much! Gorgeous cinematography, burning vibe, cool lyrics!
J's verses always go crazyyy 💜
Can’t wait for you to watch his live performances . Jhope is not BTS’ performance leader for nothing. He is electric on stage. There is a reason why the members always consult him when it comes to performances.
J-hopeeee 💜💜 . Hobi is our sunshine. He makes me like rap music 🤩. His song with title Hansang is good too 👍
His creativity and flow is amazing. My bias 💜
Suga and so on
J HOPE en vivo en Lollapalooza, por favor. Es lo mejor.
Un saludo desde Colombia.
Gracias por tu reacción.
Nueva suscripción. 💜✌💜
Absolutely agreeing with your praises for J-hope. And YES this man is gorgeoussss
You just got done with More and I'm so stoked to see how you react to the total 180 hobi is about to pull out for this next song. So different from his Jack in the Box songs.😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah the whiplash from More to Ego 😂😂😂😂 it’s never boring in Boraland with BTS changing genres evert damn song. 💜💜
Fellow Aussie here. Really cool you are checking your biases as you listen to J-Hope. In life, many people don't realise it's an intentional practice to be open and humbly and respectfully re-learn things we should (sorry that got a bit deep but I had to say it). I'm mostly here for SKZ but I'm open to other content, including BTS and ATEEZ especially the deep meaning of many of these songs.
j-hope is my bias. Music, performance, and personality wise. I think i am in love with this man.
OMG YES, THANKS FOR UR REACTION! I really love jhope's solo stuff, he definitely took me off guard in the beginning too!😂✨ I also recommend the mv, "Chicken noodle soup!" ft Becky G🔥
the sad elements is because it was an end of an era, the map of the soul era, hobi ended it perfectly
I think that Arson is about his burning desire to be of top.
J-Hope is a very good rapper and also a very good vocalist. You should check out J-Hope's lollapalooza performance. The live performance of Arson and More was extremely good.
Oh, did you know he has a collab with J. Cole too? On The Street. It just came out earlier this year and it's really special.
He loves those record scratches in his music. haha
Jhope King 💜
There is a saying in our fandom... The day you start calling RM 'namjoon' and suga 'yoongi' you become a BTS ARMY... 💜💜💜
and jhope "hobi"
Crap. Really? I just have a thing, for proper names at birth. Wow.
The whole video is about hoseok and u don’t even mention him ! How a shame
LOL. Jiminie for Jimin, TaeTae for V, and Jungkookie/Kookie for Jungkook.
yeah, bts have only two member.. if you dont know how to say things than just keep.. 😊. and first heard of that.
Hobi makes me smile
Each and every member from BTS is legendary!!!! Their performance, their personalities, their solo works are all incredible and at top level!!! Welcome to the new world 😂
Yeah!! j-hope's wild!!!!
J-Hope is a rapper, stellar dancer and can sing very very well! He's the main character and rhytm genius
Jhope is the best for me
Welcome back to BTS!
Jhope is the ultimate Hype Man w his whole own set of talents to back it up. He is my favorite solo in BTS by far. Not a single bad song.
J-hope adds color to the rap line. It’s the layers of tone and rhythm he adds. I always look forward to his additions to BTS songs.
One of his 'sad' songs is Blue Side. Beautiful music.
Arson is my favorite 💜
blue side full version really amazing, I didn't expect it
J Hooooooooooooooooope
~Suga
Wow you will be stunned when you see the performance of J Hope at Lallapalooza😂💜💜💜 He was amazing 💜💜💜
Ud debería ver la presentación de JHOPE en el LOLLAPALOOZA, realmente increíble!!!! Saludos desde Argentina, y gracias por su reacción!!!!💜💜💜
It’s funny that you say that about J Hope. Because IMO he’s the most eclectic of the rap line.
Wait till you see jhopes lalapalooza performance of ego it's so incredibly amazing
Yeah! aloha from Hawaii. I enjoyed all you've done. ty for the caring as well as direct comments. If you need anything at all please let me know. take care.
yeah... recommend to watch Lollapalooza. You never experienced him before watch the performance of him. He is one-man in total package and I'm waiting his solo concert for my life.
J-hope has the cadence like no other . They learned it from him .
I really like your reactions to BTS so I'm excited to see this! I'll check back in and comment thoughts as it goes!
I love all Bts member's but Jhope is my favorite and then Suga
Oh man I can't wait till you get to his performance at Lollapalooza, affectionately called Hobipalooza by ARMY
J-Hope it's ok incredible, thanks for sharing 💜💜💜
There is a saying in the fandom that (ARMY how would you describe the different BTS rapper's style of rapping??):
RM raps with his brain
Suga raps with his soul
Jhope raps likes he dances
or
Suga will tell you are sh*t. RM will tell you why you are sh*t. Jhope will tell you that it is okay to be sh*t.
I know there is one something like this but I could have it wrong:
RM analyzes the world
Suga criticizes the world
Jhope...(I can't remember right now)...
@@AJP.OT7… visualizes the world?
@@houseofalex maybe...
J-Hope is a beast. He is an ace of K-pop
J hope soo angel
hobi is my bias, thank your reaction ❤
jhope met jcole at lollapalooza and performerce is amazing ,I'm so proud 🎉
Ego is the typical Jhope song. Upbeat, sing-song lyrical. UNTIL he released his first official solo album. Jack in the box shows a whole different side of him. Arson and more were shockers. Wonderfully so. Jhope isn’t a rapper, singer, or dancer. He is a pure entertainer.
Looking forward to seeing you reacting to more J-hope songs! I would very much like you to react to his show at lollapalooza!!!
Jhope 😍🇲🇽💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Yes jhope is beautiful
Suggestion: Watch his performance in Hobipalooza aka Lollapalooza hahaha
It's one thing to SAY "I'm the one I should love"
But it's an entirely different struggle to learn HOW to love yourself when you arent even sure WHO YOU ARE.
There are many parts to it but the main big ones are the Persona (literally meaning the Mask, that which is our conscious personality and which determines how we deal with the world)
the Shadow (the person we'd rather not be, the opposite of our conscious personality) and the Ego (the centre of the field of consciousness which contains our conscious awareness of existing and a continuing sense of personal identity.)
There were many songs that dealt with BTS and their personas in the industry and their own personal feelings and thoughts, but the concept can really be summed up to it's most basic parts by looking at the albums intro, interlude and-- the one you just watched- the outro.
