I get it, this is Jimin we are talking about. But I feel like behind the pretty face and magical voice lots of people just miss how amazing of an artist Jimin is. Jimin is a storyteller, whether it's with his vocals, dance moves or lyrics. He's a one of a kind super-star with insane talent! Like MJ (btw, Jimin's initials are JM 👀)
You really should listen to his album *FACE* from top to bottom. The whole album is his journey through depression and loneliness during 2 years of the pandemic. As the story goes, he tries to escape it all by drinking/partying, then breaks down, then depressed and completely lonely, then comes understanding and acceptance, after which he sets himself free of these negative emotions. The album is GORGEOUS! It's so great, literally my favourite release this year. I can't wait for his next project (which was hinted to be released at either end of this year or early next year)!

I love the way he plays with gender expression in the filter performance. It’s saying to the fans “I can be whoever you want me to be, you’ll come to like and want me because you’re the one who made me”, “look only at me, what kind of me do you want, I can be the filter that you apply to your heart” - first dressing in “female” clothes like the mannequin, then in “male” clothes like dancers, and finally in the red/purple outfit. (For the photoshoot for this, he even drew the bigender symbol on his arm as a temporary tattoo, which I found really cool!) Like taking power and control back from the situation he was thrown into where thousands of eyes and cameras are judging him and applying their standards/wants/wishes to him. Lots of thoughts, it’s hard to summarize in a comment 😅

It is a universal fact that Jimin is an enigma in the world of kpop. His beauty is something that blows away both men AND women. He is somehow both handsome and beautiful. And his voice...HOLY SHIT! It's unreal. No matter who you ask, they'll be shocked that there's a person who sounds like that FOR REAL.... without autotune.

Jimin is my bias with Suga. I love their style most when it comes to solo stuff too. Jimin got me back to Kpop in 2020 after i fell out of it after 7years. He got my attention and managed to hold it. His voice is unique. It hits me. He was my only bias in BTS but then Yoongi started to creep up on me and bias wrecked me so often i said F it and now i am double biased. I love all BTS members but Jimin and Yoongi are just different.

Jimin became my bias when I heard his voice in the second BTS song I ever heard/watched, Fake Love. I was like "Who the hell was the one with the angel voice?!!!" then of course I had to find out everything about him and learned he doesn't only sound like an angel, he IS an angel. And Yoongi became my bias with him later on. It took a bit longer with him because I thought he looked intimidating at first ^^' but then I found out what an amazing sweetheart he is and his rapping also blew my mind. Jimin has been my bias from the first moment I’ve gotten to know BTS 6 yrs ago The seven boys are all so different from each other that depending on personal preferences, people will bias and praise different members Clearly Jimin is my guy, and his artistry and masterful expressive interpretations in singing and especially dancing is what drew me in to Jimin, and his personality locked me in as a stan. Also, Namjoon’s beautiful and poignant lyricism in most of BTS songs made me an army

❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! Just small details to add to your solo passionate bias bio: The importance of BTS and Bang PD in his life.
No one human being becomes the artists he is in a vacuum. No artist, or human being for that matter, is “self made” alone. He grew as an artists hand in hand with his brothers and closest friends, the members of BTS.
Jimin has always gratefully acknowledged, like all other members do, how important it has been for him to grow among his BTS bros as an artist and as an individual. As well as, that the respect and freedom Bang PD gave them to create and be themselves, is at the root of their success.
Jimin singing was developed while working in BTS with the incredible consistent emotional support of the other members. After their debut, it was Suga who insisted to Bang PD to make Jimin a singer instead of a rapper, because Suga had already the producer’s skills to recognise a good voice in the raw. Meanwhile, RM has taught Jimin how to write lyrics, as RM has helped learning how to write lyrics all the other members, but Suga. V has been Jimin closest personal friend from school days and his sounding board. Jin and J-Hope have taught Jimin to enjoy life happily in the moment.
