i think its pretty dumb that leaf litter can only be placed on natural blocks, it takes away the opportunity to make some dirty gutters or dirty roofs.
If you're a creative player you can just use Axiom or commands for that. But yea survival players can't. I agree with you they should let them be placed anywhere
I know this is off topic, but I really feel like if they're going to keep adding temperature related things, that at some point they need to just go all in by at least giving us something to tell the temperature of a biome or adding more differences based on temperature
I love the new addition of the hairy pigs as they could be used to imply temperature to a built/area. While the place doesn't have snow, it is still cold
I always see build ideas for new updates that are just regular builds but swapped the blocks with the new ones. Like no, you cant just replace the wood of an oak chair with cherry planks and call it a "1.20 build hack". So it's really refreshing seeing such creative ideas like these. I specially love the dear tracks and fountain coins, I have builds that would work great with those.
4:58 actually, there's another new feature of this snapshot that would fix this! Whenever you use /setblock, /fill or /clone, there's a new argument you can add at the end called "strict". Using this will completely prevent any block updates on and around that block, allowing you to freely place things anywhere without worrying about it breaking (Of course, normal block updates can still happen, so you'll have to be careful when messing with it) For the flower example, it would be best to create the pattern outside of the water and then clone it, otherwise you would have to manually type the direction and flower amount in the setblock command, which can be annoying. There are other really neat tricks to this too, like being able to place floating minecart rails and sand that doesn't fall down (unless it gets updated). This would of course also allow you to place the leaf litter and wildflowers anywhere (Technically you could already do this with setblock, but the strict parameter will make it significantly easier to do it in clusters without breaking everything)
Wildflowers only on natural blocks makes sense since they grow from the earth but leaf litter falls from leaves. It should be able to be placed on anything
Ngl the animal tracks is a genius idea! How do you even come up with something like that? Thats gonna come in handy for adventure maps or survival maps with lore. The same with the coins and the trash. Those are sooo smart ideas man. Very creative!
Impressive video, Ser Bobert Ross. Looking forward to your next upload! I hit the thumbs up icon on your segment. Keep up the fantastic work. The new building tricks using leaf litter are creative! How do you think players will adapt these new elements into their existing builds, especially in survival mode?
I'm glad you liked the video. I think the litter and wildflowers will be really popular for small-scale terraforming, like around paths and gardens. If they allow litter to be placed on more blocks, it will probably be a common way to decorate alleys, city streets, and roofs. When autumn comes I'm sure tons of people will be using litter for Halloween builds and custom biomes, but I think wildflowers are more niche because they're more clearly supposed to be a specific thing, less room for interpretation.
I wish that the leaf particles have a different texture for each leaf block ,like why are spruce and mangrove leaves the same as the other leaves But its still early so I think they'll probably fix that
Thanks! I'll only cover snapshots if they have something that I think will be interesting for building or worldbuilding, not just bug fixes or changes to mechanics like combat and brewing
@@serbobertross5948 I don't recall any, however... Have you considered the "tricks" you can do with vanilla armour stands using dispensers and helmets?
Looking at the bundles and bravery and the garden awakens update releases they released around 2 months apart from each other so maybe February, march time

Dirty roofs is a good idea, maybe they'll change the placement mechanics

I think it might be a glitch from it probably having the base of the pedal block.
Yea pretty much completely sure they’ll change it in a bug fix in the next snapshot.
It would also make a good way to vary and texturize if they make it placeable on any block like glow lichen and skull veins can.
blended podzol and trash are such great ideas
What a nice unexpected update
Never realized the kelp block looked so much like a garbage bag! Shame the leaf litter can only be place on organic blocks too.
I know this is off topic, but I really feel like if they're going to keep adding temperature related things, that at some point they need to just go all in by at least giving us something to tell the temperature of a biome or adding more differences based on temperature

Awesome video!! Been loving all your videos, especially these building hacks/tips, I’m surprised you’re not a bigger RUclipsr!

I'm glad you liked the building ideas :) If they release more blocks in the upcoming snapshots I'll be sure to cover some more tricks
Barbecue flavor 😂
They missed an opportunity by not adding black pigs that drop Iberico Pork Chops.

These are so creative!!!! I loved it
I rly enjoyed this lil video :b
The building ideas are all so creative wow!!
Glad you liked them! I can't wait to see what else is possible with the litter blocks when they can be placed more freely

Wow you got to this one quickly Ser 😂🎉
Deer tracks are so creative
Love the trash bags

Good video,good buidings👍
MINECRAFT: RAKING UPDATE
Due to how humid a swamp is, I feel like the warm pig should be able to spawn in both types of the swamp biome along with the other ones.
Great

Second video! Sweet build ideas! Are snapshots going to be new frequent series?

Awesome video, super excited. Any clue when this will drop?
No idea. If this is an update for 1.22 then probably early June? but it might be 1.21.5
Looking at the bundles and bravery and the garden awakens update releases they released around 2 months apart from each other so maybe February, march time
THERE'S A NEW UPDATE ????!
New snapshot just dropped :)
@serbobertross5948 oooooo im gonna check it out later
2:50 LMAO
Yes
I Hope other old Animals will get viariations
I think it's pretty likely, it doesn't make sense to only update the pig.
Neat tricks
Thanks :)
Why are you Doctor Who?
I needed a skin that looks like a professor
