For sure. Get rid of the chin strap on the bucket hat. I wear bucket hats and first I do is remove the strap. Only exception is on super windy days.

Back in the day I teed off with a three metal off the ground because I flat out couldn’t hit a driver (this was way before all the current driver technology). I used to do the same thing you do only I used the back of the heel of my right golf shoe. I never thought about using a club!

Hi Mason. I have known these short game woes... I fixed it by keeping the butt of the grip pointed to the right hip all thru the stroke...
*keep weight leftish, and keep the butt of grip pointed to back hip* ...that will prevent getting any forward shaft lean... and you will be using the bounce better. Game changing hack for short game struggles.
the one handed chipping is really working out for you. Over/Under on when we see a chip in. I say within the next 36 holes.
