- Lasfit has impressed me yet again with their 3" LED Light Pods, which I've installed on the GX as hood mounted ditch lights. The light provided from the yellow flood reflector pattern illuminates the local region around the front and side of the GX where the Lasfit light bar doesn't cover. The two pair together to create an amazing and affordable lighting combination for the GX! Feel free to reach out in the comments section with any questions you have about the install process.

Love the light pod definitely doing those! I was going to say they have brackets that go under the hood but I think the one you used are better since they don’t obstruct your view! Great stuff as always love the shirt! Maybe good to mention how long the project takes you so we know around how much time we are going to be in trouble with the family, lol! Can’t believe you have over 50 vlogs!
Hey Kaisar! Good suggestion on the project time estimates. I recently considered putting a difficulty scale for installs as well. Some of the past installs can be time consuming, but this one took about 20 mins per side. I'd say allow 1.5 hours total for the job for buffer with the family lol. I can't believe it's over 50 vlogs either! Although the filming and editing is time consuming, I have such a blast making these videos. I'm just hopeful the continue to help people make decisions on their mods.

I have the lightbar and looking for brackets to mount it. I bought the magnets, but after seeing your video I didn’t install. Any suggestions on brackets I can use to mount the light to the roof of the GX470?
Hey Vsquaredfotos, I'm glad you saw the video of what happened when using those magnetic mounts. In my last vlog I finally re-mounted the light bar on the new roof rack, which worked out perfect. If you don't have a roof rack to mount to, I suggest looking to see if anyone makes a universal door frame mount. I just searched and couldn't find many universal options immediately, but there has got to be someone making them. If not...business idea!!! lol
Hi! Just a quick question. Didn’t you change your cup holders to some that have GX written on them and they are open not covered like the OEM one is? I’ve been searching for the video where you briefly mentioned them but no luck can’t find it anymore… If I’m mistaking please let me know. Thanks! 😊

Do you know if these brackets would work for 4 inch auxbeam lightcpods?
Yes, these should be universal fit. If the Auxbeam have a center mount bolt underneath it should work.
U could of have gotten the other bracket that goes under the hood is easier.
Agreed! I've since installed the Rago Fabrication brackets and the are much easier to install and I prefer the design.
Why choose yellow over white? Is it a cool factor or does the color help on the trail?
Yes, great question! Yellow is more helpful for seeing through fog and dusty dirt roads when trailing a group offroading.
