What an encouraging and inspiring video. I live in Glendora CA, in zone 10A and I follow your channel closely as our zones are close by. I especially will start using seek, and picture this apps. Thank you so much.
Those are such great tips! I especially appreciate the reminder to do a little bit each day so things don’t get overwhelming. Proof of the pudding that your methods work is how lush and green your garden is. Thank you! Happy New Year!!🎉🎉🎉
The easiest way to peel loofah is let them be hard and dry as possible. Fill sink with water. Make a hole at wide end and shake seeds out. Then, soak in warm water for a couple minutes and the skin comes right off. You will wonder why you never did this before. So easy! Cheers
Thanks for the details on water tips. Iam always confused when is dry or not. I always water too much in the summer, our summers are brutal in the tropics.
Excellent video. You appear to have a garden that is totally enclosed. I live on 2 acres which need tending to as well. So, how much time are you spending in the garden doing all these tasks? 1 hour? 2? 3? 4? 8?
My garden is in a fenced off suburban lot. The time really depends on the time of year. It can be just a few minutes or about an hour. My average schedule is to spend about 30 min to an hour in the morning most days and then several hours on Saturdays.
@@bradmaas6875 leaving mushrooms can help build the soil microbiome, especially if you are using arborist wood chips. Folks with young kids &/or pets often choose to remove mushrooms though to reduce risk of ingesting something harmful. Also, some people don't like the aesthetic of mushrooms all over the place.
Thanks, Angela. these helpful tips apply for spring summer and fall but it’s winter time in Portland Oregon and there’s nothing to do outside. It’s cold and practically frozen over all my best. Have a happy new year.
Oh, like how the worm bins are incorporated! Nice video, thank you!
Amazing advice. Thank you.
I love your garden !!!
This was excellent! Thank you! Will be referring back to it in the future!

...you remind me of Sam Chapman...bothof you are beautiful ladies.
Thank you for another year of "caring" for my garden.
Had to look her up, I'm flattered, thanks. Best of luck with your garden in the coming year!
Always love your videos
Happy newyear!
Same to you!

Would it be easier to take the wire basket out to re-fill? 🤔
Also to check for corrosion too❤
Yes if you have a basket, that works well. Some of my bins don't have bottoms on them - they are just wire cages with no bottom.

@@GrowingInTheGarden Thank you for your reply! This gives me an idea as to how much time I should spend as well.
Why do you remove the mushrooms?
I take them out, but you don't have to.
@@GrowingInTheGarden Just curious, I've been leaving them in.

Where do you buy your worms. I need to get some for my beds
I get mine from Arizona Worm Farm - look for a local supplier if possible
Thank you, live in easy mesa so really studying you videos and on your email list thank you for your help. @@GrowingInTheGarden
I wonder if you still use your compost bins….if you do, have you ever seen a mouse or a rat in it?
Just turned them this morning - I get rats occasionally, but I haven't seen any in the bins.
You're a lifesaver. This list should help me have a much more successful garden this spring and summer. Thanks for the simple, straightforward list.
Thank you, great tips
Thank you for this! Love your ideas! 😎
Thank you for reminding me to toughen up and thin my seedlings more ruthlessly. That is something I did not do so well on last year. I will do better.
Thank you Angela, happy New Year form Nor Cal!
Happy new year!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I'm starting small, with my first 4x6 raised bed (on my hard Glendale AZ ground). Where did you get that compose bucket?
from the City of Mesa

Enjoy the break, things have slowed down here a little too. Happy new year!
All my best. Happy New Year.@@GrowingInTheGarden
I have the garden grid system as well. What do YOU do when you notice some holes are clogged?
I use a push pin to reopen the hole.
