You pretty much confirmed what I suspected of a movie like this: A great concept being dragged down by the "too many cooks" syndrome. Still I'll check it out, since an atjmospheric period piece with supernatural elements sounds too up my alley to pass up. Also now I'm morbidly curious how they messed up the ending, because in the book the Demeter's arrival in London is such an iconic and even cineastic visual that I'm always disappointed when it gets cut in an adaptation and I was interested in how this movie would handle it... and now I'm really intetested in how they'll mess it up. 😅

Saw it... Mixed feelings about it... Had great potential but became a draggy by the numbers approach (mmm cliche...ish).
Watchable but be sure you are in the mood for gothic horror and not at all sleepy from work like I was...
One big problem I had was the way the crew behaved throughout the ordeal... It's obvious that for a small vessel one can deduce the fact that the killer on board is hiding in one of the caskets.... Instead we get an overblown blame game going and there was no concerted effort to stick together weapons in hand and hunt down the killer instead of just waiting around performing duties until becoming lunch...
