No family lives the flamenco tradition more fully than the Scannuras. They are Canada's preeminent flamenco family, pursuing their art form with authenticity and excellence. Their performances have received acclaim worldwide and Roger and Anjelica Scannura performance with an intensity that demonstrates mastery and commitment to their art.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. This is one of the BEST flamenco videos I have seen and when I found out they were father and daughter, I realized that flamenco is alive all over the world. The beautiful and talented Angelica Scannura and her father Roger are living, breathing art. Ellos son sublimes y profundos en su expression. Una interpretacion muy fuerte autentica de flamenco puro.
I just met this amazing family when my family and I saw them at the Harborfront Centre last week. Anjelica is incredibly talented as a flamenco dancer and a belly dancer who's wone Miss Universe of Belly dancing in 2013 I believe. I'm so glad we know about this family now.
By far, the best flamenco performance I have ever seen!
Very nice! As a dancer myself, I know how much work and talent goes into this kind of dance form. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will now watch it all again. Angelica and her father are super cool. Beautiful.

I love the Scannura family! All their performances are very emotional and they move the audience. I was visiting from Spain and I happened to be in the audience at York University during the conference. I hope to see them perform again soon!

Great performance I wished the stage was miked.
Sloppy and very poor representation of flamenco. The tremolo is unbearably bad and the performance as a whole is an embarrassment to the flamenco community !
