As a neutral hockey fan it hurts to see Kane losing so many good years of his career playing for Chicago. The guy is arguably the most skilled player of this century along with Datsyuk and one of the most complete wingers of his generation - in terms of scoring tools and hockey IQ to go with it. I feel like this still gets overlooked by some because Chicago as a team has been trash since 2015. Kane’s window as an elite player is still open but slowly closing. I’d love to see him on a team like NYR, EDM, PIT or STL.
Yes, poor Kane... making 10+ million to live out his childhood dream of playing in the NHL... hopefully the trauma of playing on a team with a losing record doesn't lead him to prematurely end his life
As a neutral hockey fan...? I don't know if we can call you fan if you don't have a favorite... sorry, just the rules.. you have to be ridiculously biased to be a true hockey fan... lol
I think he was standing there because 2 guys where high in the zone, if Jones was in there possibly could've been a 2 on 0 if the pass was intercepted, I'd call it a bad play for Kane honestly. He looked at Jones for a solid 3 seconds and threw it out. lol
You can’t justify putting any of this on Kane. Kane did not have the same pure, blatant, free, clear look Jones had on him for a 2 solid seconds without making a single stride forward and instead remaining in the neutral zone, cuz he forgot what planet he was on. Kane, on the other hand, was in a tight, quick play in double coverage, had all kinds of white and blue jerseys in his peripheral vision, he saw his open white guy from a distance and made what should have been the right play, yet Chuckles was just chillin’ at center ice. Hockey is a really fast game, and it’s not Kane’s job to get his teammates to play their position.
@@joshuaneal7552 Still got 2 guys high in the zone, Kane shoulda been able to read that, a dump in or pass to Raddysh when he moved in would have been a way better play. Jones was purely there to avoid the chance of a 2-0. Better going offside than to lose possession in a PP in my opinion
@@thatoneguy9666 It's a miscommunication at best. But Jones is the one way out of position to begin with. Of Course it's gonna throw Kane off when an NHL hockey player is standing out in center ice while his team is on the PP and in complete possession of the puck. It may seem like a brain fart on Kane's part, but only because his teammate forgot how power plays work, so it's more so a brain fart on Jones' part. Kane is a superstar, but even superstars are capable of being thrown off by ridiculous occurrences. I mean, Kane shouldn't have to assess Jones' positioning to make sure he's not offside before passing it. It's a fast game, so you don't have all the time in the world to think. Give Kane some credit here.
@Bruce Smeltzer No, what I mean is Jones at first assumed that COL was about to clear, which is fair, but as soon as Kane regained possession, Jones should've jumped immediately back into the zone to receive Kane's feed. Kane wasn't expecting Jones to float in the neutral zone.
He released because the other d man pinched. He had the Colorado wing man right on him. If Kane gets that pass intercepted and Jones is still in the zone, it’s a two on zero going back to Chicago’s zone.
Kane should have cycled that back down low. That would have been the smart play. Colorado had both wingmen at the point. You NEVER leave the last man on an island unless he can guarantee the puck. Maybe Jones was a little premature in his release, but overall he did what he was supposed to do.
Love Kane but he just chucked the puck wildly on the PP, expected someone to get it. It's genius when we know it's Kane, but any other player would get yelled at for that. If he chucks that puck in deep instead of trying to do it all alone, Jones doesn't need to back up to keep the 3 high Avs players honest. The team play needs more practice.
Any of you can pause the frame when Kane passes the puck to Jones. Look at the Chicago player by himself in the left hand corner. Colorado collapsed up high. If he cycles that puck, Colorado now has to adjust and now that guy can make that play out of the corner. Kane is just as much at fault
They're on the goddamn power play, why is Jones standing outside of the offensive zone at all when there was literally no pressure in a large part of the offensive ice? He's way past the blue line standing right by the center ice circle by the time Kane even _gets_ the puck, that's just awful positioning.
I think both players are at fault. If I was in Kane's position I wouldn't pass to the point knowing Jone's was out of the O-zone, find the low guy and set up from there (although that might not be how they draw it up). And in Jone's position, he's too stationary and completely out of the O-zone, at least be open to make an outlet for your teammates. It's just another example of guys not being on the same page..
@@danielnam9026 @111voodoo I see where both of you are going with this. However, I think Kane is thinking Jones is going to rush back into the zone but instead he waits for the puck. 62 and 13 are playing PK exactly as they should. But WHY is Jones WAITING for the puck. He clearly has the room to flash back into the zone, make 63 and 13 react and then cycle the puck down low. What makes this worse is what happens after the pass - now every Hawk player has the quickly exit the zone which leads to Jones making a hot pass that doesn't connect and now Avs are on the attack. Respectively disagree gentlemen but I gotta put this one on Jones. He never really entered the zone in the first place if you watch from the beginning.
And that's why I'll make that Jones for Johansen trade again and again. 🤣 "WTF are you doing" sums up his career since I've watched him from Nashville onward.
LOL ,..WHAT is "Kane" doing passing the puck to THAT guy ? wtf ,..don't blame the guy ,..he could have whipped the puck around to dude down low wide open LEFT side of screen DUH
It wasn't clear possession along the boards. He had to mind a player in the center slot in case the Avs took possession quickly. Not clear that Hawks were keeping the puck.
He clearly felt the pressure from #62 up near the line and thought there wasn’t gonna be enough room to get a pass through without it getting picked off… that being said, #62 backed off quickly & he should’ve regained the zone (well he never should’ve left it given that they were on the PP tbh)
This is the second time this season he’s yelled at someone on the team for being an idiot, I wanna say the first time was Seth Jones too but I could be wrong. I would put money on him and Jonny not staying the whole season
it's getting worse too bc the idiot new coach has him stuck on a horrific line w two guys he absolutely cannot play with - Domi and Athanasiou. through 3 games Kane has ZERO 5v5 high danger chances. that's ZERO in THREE games. he literally virtually never goes one game without at least one, and usually it's several a game. and the coach isn't changing the lines.

9.5million per year
And still doesn't seem to understand the concept of offside.
But seriously, where the F$%K was Jones going lmao
Why haven't they traded Kane for assests? Aren't they in a rebuild?
They will they are just waiting to maximize his return plus without him nobody would go to hawks games
GM is a moron.
00:05 the chicago player thought colorado was gonna get hold of the puck and counter- thats why he went back. Kane is probably mad because they are down 4-1.
Most skilled? Why would he pass the puck to that guy?
Yes, poor Kane... making 10+ million to live out his childhood dream of playing in the NHL... hopefully the trauma of playing on a team with a losing record doesn't lead him to prematurely end his life
As a neutral hockey fan...? I don't know if we can call you fan if you don't have a favorite... sorry, just the rules.. you have to be ridiculously biased to be a true hockey fan... lol
@@rorygillmore6555 Haha fair enough bud😅

Seth Jones, First Round talent with a Seventh Round brain.
I’m an Avs fan and I pretty much said the exact same thing lol
Nice pass Kane, He was out of the zone! lol
Help out Kane guys. He’s the ringleader
Kane should request for a trade man deserves 1 more cup
If I was Kaner I would be frustrated too. In Seth’s defence he was probably thinking of an entry reset though.
@@jkub1894 In some people's minds Kane can do do wrong, stupid!
@@joshuaneal7552 I’m blaming Kane, he made a bad pass
Seth Jones clearly forgot he plays in the NHL.
Patrick Kane Said His First Swear Word Kaner Has To Put A Dollar In The Swear Jar
*Oof*
Kane deserved better than the dumpster fire that was the last 5 years of his time in Chicago.
And Kane still passed the puck to him. Great vision Kaner.
Was probably assuming Jones would be barreling back into the zone like he should've been.
@Bruce Smeltzer Look at the speed of Kane's pass. Jones had plenty of time to receive the pass in the offensive zone if he were moving forward.
Seth Jones man... his contract is a major boat anchor.
He released because the other d man pinched. He had the Colorado wing man right on him. If Kane gets that pass intercepted and Jones is still in the zone, it’s a two on zero going back to Chicago’s zone.
You have Kane on the ice, you trust him to make the pass. He’s literally one of the best ever at getting pucks to their destination.
Kane should have cycled that back down low. That would have been the smart play. Colorado had both wingmen at the point. You NEVER leave the last man on an island unless he can guarantee the puck. Maybe Jones was a little premature in his release, but overall he did what he was supposed to do.
This guys copium levels are through the roof
Again it is pat Kane. You don’t tell him the proper play, he is a rare type that defines proper play.
I am also from bc so def no chi lover.
Sounds more like "Where are you fucking going?"
Seth Jones is a bad hockey player
Love Kane but he just chucked the puck wildly on the PP, expected someone to get it. It's genius when we know it's Kane, but any other player would get yelled at for that. If he chucks that puck in deep instead of trying to do it all alone, Jones doesn't need to back up to keep the 3 high Avs players honest. The team play needs more practice.
I'm glad some people can see clearly lol
Any of you can pause the frame when Kane passes the puck to Jones. Look at the Chicago player by himself in the left hand corner. Colorado collapsed up high. If he cycles that puck, Colorado now has to adjust and now that guy can make that play out of the corner. Kane is just as much at fault
They were down 3 goals already. This is the NHL not peewee. Hold that line. There was no pressure on the point.
@Daniel Nam @111voodoo @DastardlyRidleyLash Either way gents, horrible hockey.
And that's why I'll make that Jones for Johansen trade again and again. 🤣 "WTF are you doing" sums up his career since I've watched him from Nashville onward.
Really , Kane should have cycled that back down low in the corner.

Can’t question Jones’ decision. That would be racist
What the hell was Jones thinking?! Being outside the zone doesn't help the Blackhawks one bit in that situation.
He was trying to make sure the Hawks get the #1 pick in the draft, mission accomplished
LOL ,..WHAT is "Kane" doing passing the puck to THAT guy ? wtf ,..don't blame the guy ,..he could have whipped the puck around to dude down low wide open LEFT side of screen DUH
Seth Jones masterclass
Great clip
It wasn't clear possession along the boards. He had to mind a player in the center slot in case the Avs took possession quickly. Not clear that Hawks were keeping the puck.
"This moment of confusion and chaos brought to you (again) by your Chicago Blackhawks..."
Sounds more like he's saying "Where are you looking dude?!" Either way definitely not happy understandably.
With all due respect. Sloppy play from Chicago almost giving up the puck often in this so jones was just playing it safe
The defenders are right there...no one had possession. Jones made a safe smart play, less risk
Glad to see not everyone on here is a Kane worshipper lol
Yikes! 😂 Kane can’t get out of there quickly enough.
It was at this moment Kane realised send me anywhere
