- It is hard to discuss authentic-culturally significant Bermudian meals without bringing up Cod Fish and Potatoes (CF & P). Traditionally eaten on Sunday mornings, this breakfast is easily one of the most popular on the island. Though that isn't to say specific recipes and ways of preparing the meal don't vary widely. This meal is frequently the topic of hot and fiery debates. Some use red sauce (tomato based), others white or butter sauce. Some have their meal with an avocado or mayonnaise. Still others eat their breakfast with cornmeal or cornbread. The possibilities and variations are truly endless - just make sure you soak your cod and boil your potatoes. This video tackles the intricacies and history surrounding this beloved meal as I follow Kenny (owner of Kenny's Kitchen) the morning of his preparation and ultimately selling of this beloved Sunday meal.

Northern Ontario here, we love salted fish as it concentrates the added blended flavours we add and firms up the texture of the meat. We use trout and pike and such mostly.

Yeah I wish I could have shown what some of his staff said about him! Some of them stated he was like a father figure to them and gave them a lot of mentorship and direction in their life. He’s a quality guy.
