Got any tips for the final alignment of the lights? Max facing down, up, or middle???

I parked my truck about 4 to 6ft away from my garage door, when dark outside. I first turned my low beam lights on. With some masking tape, I marked the left and right lowest sharpest line of the light pattern on the garage. I then blocked the headlights with cardboard or turn them off if you can. I turned the fog lights on and aligned the top beam pattern of the fog lights to just below the tape mark on the garage. Basically, the fog lights should be pointing just below the low beam light pattern. If the fog lights point above the headlight low beam pattern, you have a chance that on coming traffic will be blinded by the fog lights. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the video. My Tacoma doesn’t have led headlights do I have to splice anything to the harness? I saw on their website that they provide a clip to splice somewhere.

The headlight led bulbs I bought fit with no modifications. I didn't have to cut any wires. I've had these same bulbs for over 3 years and have not had any problems. The brand is Sealight S1 Series. I bought them on Ebay for under $60. For being on the cheaper side of these type of bulbs, they work great. I will try to make a short video on these bulbs this weekend. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the reply!

Thank you for the video. I am on the fence about the Sport vs Pro for my daily drive stang. That light beaming looks great man. How are you liking them since you had time to use them over a month now?

They are awesome! I haven't had any issues with other cars getting blinded by the lights. I would buy the pro's if I had to do it again. My recommendation would be to keep looking at the Diode Dynamics website for any sales, I saved like $70. I would get the pro's and make sure they are adjusted correctly.

If any of the bulbs burn out can you replace the bulbs on the fog light

I'm not a hundred percent sure, but I don't think you can replace the bulbs. I believe Diode Dynamics has a 3yr warranty on their products.

How are you liking the dv8 roof rack? And do you happen to know the size of bolts needed to mount to the rack to the roof? Thanks

The roof rack is working good. In the beginning the roof rack wind deflector was rattling bad at highway speeds and windy conditions. I adjusted the wind deflector to the highest point and went away. If you need a very sturdy rack this is not the one to get, spend the extra money. It works for me, I just wanted to mount a light bar to the top of my truck without having to bolt it to the truck body. It's sturdy enough to put some not so heavy equipment on it, but i would not walk on it or put a tent on it. As far as the bolt size, I don't remember. The kit came with all the hardware needed to install. You could probably find the size on the Dv8 website.

Do these have a good cutoff on the light pattern? Every time I see tacomas with these lights they’re pretty blinding, but maybe they have the non SAE version.

The cut-off pattern was very good and crisp. I would probably think that most people don't align them properly.

When ordering these fog lights. Did you opt in for the backlight harness? or does it automatic come with the adapters?

These fog lights come in backlight or non backlight. I ordered mine non backlight.

I have Sealight S1 series led bulbs. I have had them on the truck for over a year with no problems. I like these bulbs because the beam pattern is not thrown everywhere and blind cars when you are behind them. You can find them on Ebay for under $50 for a set.

Are these safe to use driving with other cars on the road? Let me know I subbed

I have only had them installed on my truck for less than a week. So far I have not had any cars high beam me. I think as long as you have them aligned properly it should be ok. The beam pattern line is very sharp and does not spread out, the light stays focused where it's aimed. I've seen other lights that are aligned properly, but the beam pattern is not sharp and spread out too much and blinds other cars. I was debating between the Diode Dynamics SS3 sport and pro. I was worried the pro's were going to be to bright for driving on the streets, but so far ok and you can definitely notice that they are on. I would not hesitate to purchase again. One thing is to look out for Diode Dynamics sales, you will save money.
